Doesnt have to be a big monumental play in history but something that brings back the old days of playing ball in the streets with your pals.

Steve Garvey homerun to right against Lee Smith and the Cubs in 84 playoffs. 9 at the time and still have flashbacks

Chico Ruiz stealing home against the 1964 Phillies extending their losing streak at the end of the year, blowing a 6.5 game lead with 10 to play....

The Mets fans should chime into this thread from what happened the last 2 years...

11 years old at the time in Jan 1981- Fricken cold as hell that day as I remembered when Brian Sipe threw the INT to Mike Davis in the end zone in the "RED RIGHT 88" play call as the Raiders won the Super Bowl that year over the Eagles.

OR

John Elway going 98 yards in the 86 AFC Championship game to ruin another Cleveland chance of winning the Super Bowl

It was Earnest Byner but 86 hurt more as the had the lead with 2 Mins to go and pinned Denver at the 2 yard line when the Broncos muffed the return.Than Marty put the "PREVENT" Defense in and you know what happens from there.I will still say that Karlis missed that FG to give Denver the game that day.

Was in Tahoe for that game and a big Raider fan at the time.

Was an ice bowl and a F.G. wins it but Sipe took a shot at the end zone and Davis picked it but wasn't visible as were like WTF just happened and wasn't until team mates picked him up off the ground in jubilation.

Was going to win my bet had a FG been made but at that age was a big fan.

But hate the Raiders now when they moved to LaLa land.

My most memorable is "The Catch"

My Buddy's dad who passed away last year always told me that this was his worst bad beat that he ever had betting. He was working in a dairy factory in Cleveland that day and a guy told him that Stabler ran 40 yards for a TD to give the Raiders. He bet $500 that day which was a big bet for that time in 1972 and had to load up a truck so he didnt see the game or play but we he got finished the guy told him he lost his bet when Franco Harris made a fell of a catch to win the game.He was so fricken pissed off that he got shit faced and was pissed off.He told me that he won some monet back on the Dolphins when they beat Washington to go undefeated but until he died that was the one game that hurt the most.Sorry to ramble on but this always stuck with me as I was very close to the family and he was the one who got me started gambling.
