Visiting Worldsportscenter.com tonight made me think of the things that go into a sportsbook web-site. Things like site navigation come to mind, but what really makes you feel good about a web-site?

For one, I always find it amazing how a book makes it easy for one on how to deposit, but makes it a chore to find the withdrawl methods.

Like you have no chance of winning.

That always irritates me.

That comes immedieately to mind.

Definitely simpler the better. Non-java sites are the best, quick loading and indexing are key when you have an OH S*&^ moment and remember the game is starting in 2 minutes and you aren't down yet. I don't get the point of graphics or chicks in swimsuits. I suppose you draw in the bigger squares that way, but function definitely over form.

Have to agree about tits and ass on web-sites, totally lost on me. Actually kind of insulting when you think about it. Does a pic of a half naked chick make even the slightest bit of difference to anyone when it comes down to making a decision whether to post-up or not? That was one of the problems I had with BHB when they first opened, the T and A, and the celibrity promos. Must be getting old.

The defining criterion has to be the amount of time it takes to get a bet in from a slow computer with a slow connection. Even the fast computers/connections slow down at peak times so it's got to be important even for those. WSEX wins in this department hands down. I can't even think of another who comes close.

A second, related factor is the time-out feature. IIS, WWTS and Hollywood are very annoying because of this. They time out after 10-15 minutes and you have to log in again. They say it's to protect us, but from whom? Maybe from ourselves in case we forget to log off. But that raises the question...do adults need to be protected from themselves!?

One page with all the games on it. I don't mind scrooling down a page, I hate having to click on "Next Page"...........

Pinnacle is the best, 5 Dimes is good once you get past that gaudy first page. WSEX is good, but I still have to complain about the drop down bet amounts, if they just had a bet amount box the site would be improved. That drop down amount is too easy to screw up and get the wrong amount by clicking just a hair below where you need to. I still don't get that idea, but other than that WSEX is definitely the right idea.

Believe it or not, this is totally unsolicited, but I like the software at Worldsportcenter.com at least as much as I can see as a visitor. 10 cent baseball lines up to 190 I noticed today.

I cant stand timeouts either, but i think they want to protect themselves from a guy saying he left the room, and little johnnie punched in 5 bets for fun.

Comprehensive wagering history is a plus. Dating back several months a player can easily keep track of winning and losing patterns at a particular book.
