Bury the dead, tend to the wounded are tops. Clean up the mess. Get infrastructure up and running 100%. Pursue the culprits. There is the tough part. How do you do that? Will they turn themselves in? Not likely. They have to be caught. Many witnesses but who remembers what? Cameras everywhere, another FROG gotcha. So they have tape on them, but a lot of screening to do. That is probably how they will id them. Rewards and snitches ineffective also. So you get tape, id, enhance photo and start circulating. But where are they by then? Back in Iraq? Afghanistan? Coalition occupied, for what that is worth. Let's just assume these tools are not staying around to get caught. Then what? Shake your fists and scream in the air, "I hate terrorists!" This is indeed warfare, the lowest and dirtiest kind. I think the Brits are too upright and proper to get down and dirty. They are talking about bringing them to trial? What trail did they give to the innocent commuters? Forget that, who sent these guys in, where did the plan and orders originate. You need that information, more than any other. If you catch a pawn you get that info. Then you take immediate action, discreet or not. You better pay these planners back and fast. They must know, and anyone in the future that there are no trials. If you are locked on, you are gone. We shall see how this pans out. But these are not sophisticated attacks. This is amature hour. Madrid was not the only, and London will not be the last. Grim, but a fact of life. When someone crosses the line of civilization, you have to play at their level. If not, it will continue and get worse.

Best Wishes...OF:howdy:

The british are not your typical vengence seekers. And remember Tony Blair can not screw up on this one so he will tread lightly. I read some where that he was being criticized for his actions in Iraq and being blamed for the bombings.

But the British have security services and an investigative machine far far better than most in the world..(definatley better than CIA or FBI ) They will catch some if not all the culprits. They tend to be slow, but they are meticulous and methodical (unlike the blundering CIA competing with FBI and bickering with dumb ass white house staff members)
The british are not so much hated by most governments since they tend to be somewhat reserved (i said "somewhat") They should be able to aprehend the culprits if the flee back to some Arab states with much ease. I would be willing to wager that even Iran would be willing to turn over suspects if found there to the Brits but sure as hell not americans..

With a stiff upper lip, they will catch their man. Trust those snooty anal, but extremely efficient Brits to get it done.

They should stop being wimps like the french and start killing the millions of Islamic insurgents that penetrated their country for this very purpose. This is what they should do, watch!

Yes, the snooty British proper and meticulous way. I'll buy that. Not so sure paling around with US has not damaged them on the edge countries, as far as influence. I am a bit more skeptical. I think they will be fortunate to apprehend anyone. And if they are lucky enough to do that, it will be some clowny show trial. Probably incarcarate him/them and have another bombing run demanding their release. A deadly tar baby. Life and liberties we once knew are rapidly evaporating. Brits legendary resolve tested now, and they are not being bombed from a tyrant bent on world domination ready to invade, it is because of policy possibly gone too far. Or aligning themselves with someone who is having doubtful policy. Being invaded, or political mistake. Resolve has a tough decision there. I have no doubt in their intelligence agencies abilities, unlike our keystone cops, but they flat out admitted they did not have one single warning on this one. Better step up from that intelligence failure. So that is the answer? Pursue the culprits, catch them and give them a proper trial?

Best Wishes...OF:howdy:

No, not kill them all, let God sort them out.

Remote possibility, but did any one think that these might not be solely Arab
conspirators? People have been saying this attack had the hallmarks of the Bin laden group but to me it does not seem so... It does not have the planning or grandeur of a rabid Islamic group...(Are you kidding me? 101b bombs? a 5 year old could plant those by themselves)

Plus all of the packages seemed to have been remotely detonated...If you ask me that really smells of some one who wanted to do harm but either didnt want to cause too much carnage or lacked the man power to do more...

If it were muslim extremists, i suspect we would have seen over 10 packages not just 7 or 8.

Perharps the reason they had no clue was because they were looking at the wrong people....

Ps..also the "laden" groups rarely strike around important events like july 4th or a G8 summit!!!! Could this be a resurgence of purely European groups like the black september or red army of years past?

I am feeling you frog. now you are getting on the right side. If their intel says terrorists based and maybe funded by Syria are responsible then England needs to give Syria a good blasting. Not innocent people, try to hit the leaders and/or military instillations. fukk them.
