I saw at least 3 turnovers, missed foul shot, and a complete rejection in the final quarter for the "closer". Not to mention his man was the one that went free for a layup at the end. He almost singly handidly lost that game for the Lakers if it werent for the other people in his team that actually stepped up and the Magic handing that game away.

Box what happened to your "closer" who doesnt miss shots, and makes all his free throws in the clutch and doesnt turn the ball over when it counts?

If it werent for some WEAK fouls called on the Magic against Kobe he would have lost the game for the Lakers despite his teammates.

Get that weak "closer" crap out of here. Put Kobe on the Cavs in place of Lebron and the Cavs dont make the playoffs.

Get that weak stuff out of here!!!!

The Magic have taken 10 more FT this series with both games being in LA, and you're complaining about the refs. By the way, the Closer is up 2-0.

kobe is jordan's twin brother imo. they both play the game identically, and will both end up with the same number of rings, kobe probably more.

kobe will also break almost all of jordans records.

the talk of them not being close is stupid.

Go watch the fourth qtr of evey finals game MJ was in and you'll see Kobe is not on the same level. You'll never see turnovers and all those missed shots. MJ was as clutch as you can get.

im sure michael had poor 4th quarters once in awhile as well. its unavoidable.

9 out of 10 times kobe is solid, same with michael.

Look at his performance last year in the finals. MJ never had poor showings like that the entire series.

never is a stretch. you do realize the bulls didn't sweep everytime in the playoffs right? they DID lose games, even close ones.

you don't become a closer without missing big shots. you got to be kidding if you think jordan never missed a big shot or never made a turnover.

kobe was responsible for the 7-0 run in OT

kobe was caught on a screen, ariza is supposed to help on lee. just because you can't get around a screen doesn't mean it's your fault. defense is a team effort.

He did but not at as frequent as Kobe does.

It took Jordan 6 years to even get to the Finals. All those frustrating seasons for Bulls' fans, not to mention he never went up against a team with 3 HoFers in their prime like Kobe did last year.

woah slow down buddy
kg, ray allen, and paul pierce aren't exactly in their prime. while they were legit all-stars last year, they're clearly not in the best shape of their career.

I don't know when you think they were in their prime, but at 30, 31, & 32, if they weren't in their primes, they certainly weren't far off of it.

Kobe is a good player but not even close to MJ. Kobe takes nights off and not only takes nights off but he plays so bad down the stretch he would have cost his team the team if not for Gasol and Odom, the Magic basically giving the game away with weak turnovers, and the refs.

3 Turnovers, STUFFED at the end and stuffed badly, missed foul shot and if it werent for the refs feeling sorry for him (which by the way were HORRIBLE calls) Kobe would have cost his team the game at home in the NBA finals. This isnt regular season or even the first round of the playoffs. This is the NBA finals.

Derek Fisher has 4 rings, so if he wins, I am sure he is on MJ's level too and Robery Horry has a bunch so he is too. Get all that crap out of here.

"Closers" dont lose games for teams down the stretch in the NBA Finals!

Kobe is not and will NEVER be on the level of MJ.

As far as all this "closer" talk....GET IT OUT OF HERE. It's one thing to miss a shot or two and its another to just flat out look bad down the stretch of an NBA finals game.
