ESPN wouldn't pay him enough so they dropped him, and he signed with Fox. He is going to do some boxing work for them. I think his first show was supposed to be this past week or very soon.

max over valued himself....and it`s ashamed because espn had a very nice cohesion going on their boxing show....

but,if you consider the garbage that espn puts out there(the stuart scott`s...the olbermann`s,all the yuppy pussies that they call anchors),it might have been a good long term move......

hbo signed roy jones,i believe,to replace foreman....and roy is a tremendous student of the game...he`s a large upgrade....max would have been a nice fit at hbo...

the fox gig is ridiculous....airing fights a week after they take place?......what are they thinking?

Kellerman made the right move at the right time! Max is a good friend of mine. A lot of you don't know this, but ESPN2 is cancelling Friday Night Fights as of September 2004. That's right, it is going to be replaced with WAC Football.

Max knew the time was short and cut himself a sweet long term deal with a much stronger network. He was running out of time and did the right thing.

By the way, the Ex Director of ESPN2's Friday Night Fights is uner investigation for a variety of unetheical practices, including the prohibition of my tattoo business. keep an eye out for a guy named Bob Yalen and Sugar Ray Leonard to make newstands in the near future. They really made some shady dealings.

Give Max some love, if you had a chance to hang out with him, you'd like him even more.

Ya know Railbird and Spinch, you guys touched on something that I've noticed for awhile now. The personel and talent at ESPN now is horrible.
The guys running ESPN and in charge of hiring the commentators are fuking idiots. Stuart Scott is a moron, Bill Walton is too dumb to live, Chris Berman is just a geek, I mean almost everybody they have now is just flat out bad. The guys doing sportscenter are absolutely talentless. Where the hell is Dan Patrick when you need him? All of the football guys with the exception of Tom Jackson are just too annoying and too stupid too watch. Harold Reynolds and Joe Morgan are the only baseball guys I like.

Theres probably a few other guys that are OK who I forgot to mention but jesus, I cant stand watching the meatheads they have doing the NFL Sunday Countdown. The dumbasses at ESPN think they just need to hire ex athletes and their shows will be great. The sad thing is most of them are too stupid to say anything interesting. ESPN is pathetic now.
