The reason I'm asking is because the spread is at +24 But "gut instinct" and eye test doesn't come anywhere near justifying Zona as 24 points better, even if they are at home. Looking at each teams schedule so far Hawaii has traveled much more and played stiff competition all under a new regime and scheme. For the most part they're hanging tough, we all knew the Michigan game would be a blowout but the rainbow warriors have shown some guts and actually have a coaching staff that cares and it's my opinion that the players are going to go hard for all four quarters.

on the other hand Zona lost to an average Byu team and looked absolutely atrocious against grambling state and took a huge comeback to win at home and that's not exactly reassuring. On top of that Washington comes to town for Arizona and that opens pac 12 play. I don't exactly see a look ahead scenario here because rich rod knows his team isn't great, but with how good Washington is I can't imagine the players and coaching staff aren't at least worried about that game. Fact of the matter is that Neither team is good, and how This is a 24 point spread is beyond me...

im looking for everyone else's opinion on this game because personally I feel like Hawaii keeps this game relatively close and may even have an outside shot at winning .

thanks gentleman

Anu Solomon is questionable for Arizona also... They say he probably won't play..

In either case A2Q, you're asking a baaaaaaaaaaaaaad team to cover a line for ya which is Noooooooooooo play for me. GL with it.

Hawaii's lack of talent will allow Arizona's offense to find itself and look cohesive. They don't need a passing game, Hawaii can be run on. They showed they have trouble in the middle stopping the run. Hawaii doesn't travel well and I look at their poor tackling to give up few special teams scores as well. (If this happens, Arizona will surely cover the 24)

Hawaii coaches will have the team ready. They make good halftime adjustments and put the players in the right spot to make the plays. But the lack of talent, still concerns me.

Until Hawaii shows me they can play decent defense, I'll keep giving the points.

Better coaching staff (that isn't concerned with piling on late) better athletes and a better home field advantage. Hawaii is weary and they have never been a good road team....and this is one of the worst Hawaii teams in a decade. Rich Rod will pile it on Saturday and his players should see marked improvement after the first two weeks of sorting things out.

Good of point gentleman... I'm not sure I would play this game but it's interesting nonetheless

Both teams who actually did lose to FCS squads week 1 (Wazzu and Virginia) both covered last week. It usually creates value in the next weeks line and can be a motivator for the team. Just something too keep in mind. Zona and Georgia barely survived, and Northwestern actually lost to a good Illinois State team.
