In my professional life I've had occasion to come into contact with dozens of Division IA athletes across the range of sports--everything from Women's Field Hockey to Men's Football. When you talk about their intelligence you're obviously gong to be talking about a range. Sadly, that range is rather narrow. The brightest of them have the common sense of your average, run of the mill, 15th century village idiot. The Steve Youngs of the world are notable due to their almost incredible rarity. So when you ask who among "student" athletes has any demonstrable intelligence outside of their respective sports venues I can report that almost none do. The baseball players are easily the most stupid, though followed closely behind by the soccer guys and girls. Football players are on average of average intelligence when it comes to "student" athletes. The smartest tend to be in the individual sports like golf or tennis, but don't forget even the brightest amongst them is still dumber than a bag of hammers. As for Tebow, well how smart can someone be who believes there's an invisible man who died and then was brought back to life and that a woman can be magically impregnated without ever coming into contact with sperm?

Yeah, I guess there's millions of morons out there that believe the same thing. Might as well call basically every athlete a moron, because if you haven't noticed yet they all Thank God for their past, present, and future success in displaying their God given talent.

I'll never understand why people bash religion. What did it ever do to you? Does it really make you feel better about yourself or make your dick a little bigger? Just immature and classless.

You said it, not me.

Might as well call basically every athlete a moron[...]

Did you read my post?

Often they thank the offensive line. Or good defense.
Clearly ALL of them do NOT thank G-D.

I didn't mention religion. You did. I simply reported Tebow's publicly avowed beliefs. It's apparent that you've been made to feel defensive. Apologies. I'm genuinely sorry that I've made you feel so insecure that you feel the need to lash out.

And as for what religion has ever done to me, or anyone else for that matter, I'll leave that to someone else to answer should someone be so inclined. I'm not.

I'm taking Florida -4, by the way.

ZIP, Nate Davis does not take special ed classes but he does have a tutor to help keep him eligible. He is not the sharpest tack in a box as his high school grades kept him out of Ohio St. & many more university's. I watched him since he was in the 7th grade he made all ohio in both foots & hoops. He is entering the nfl draft after this bowl game as per one of his family members, as he presently has 1 or 2 children & is not married so he can use the money.

It's all good, just find it annoying that people take shots at religion for no real reason. Kinda tiresome if you ask me.

Good luck on your bet homeboy.

you hit the nail on the head with Garcia. WOW! I heard an interview from him midway in the season and it was painful to watch! Good find.
