the nokia tdma technology are pretty reliable, the one I have now doesnt have an external (visible) antena and does not work as well as my old 6120? did

I agree with Judge, the old nokias are the best (and cheap too)

And by the way, I just got a voice over ip , your own phone number in the States! too bad they didnt have the area code in Michigan where my wife's family lives but if you have family in the states and make a lot of calls to US/Canada get your own!

I also use a Motorola Star Tac and have been very pleased with it. You can pick them up for next to nothing. Just be sure you get one that is digital capable. Older models will not work with digital service.

Isn't it pathetic what you have to get in CR? I saw a couple of phones people were happy with there and I laughed pretty hard. I was thinking in the US you don't even give a big brick piece of crap like that to your grandma to use from the seniors club! I think I have been through 6 or 7 phones in 6 years and I would have to go back to my first or second cell phone to match what people are talking about are good cell phones for CR.

Amazing how the government of CR royally screws over the people in prices for phone service all in the name of keeping the money in Tico hands. More like keeping the money in their pockets...

That's why the TLC will help with that situation because for costa rica the old phones are the ones that work, not fair
