I see a lot of anti-Bush rhetoric in this forum, and I personally hate Hanoi John and post a lot of anti-Kerry write-ups myself.

When it comes right down to it, it's what we're each looking for in a President.

For me it's:
1. The war on terrorism - while all of the terrorists are sacrificing themselves top prevent a democracy in Iraq - they aren't sacrificing themselves flying more jets into more buildings in the USA.
2. Taxes - call me greedy, b ut I think I do a better job spending my money than the government does. FICA and Medicaire are the only two taxes that I don't begrudge - other than that, the less government we have, the happier I'l;l be.
3. Decisiveness - I want a President who will stay the course - who won't jump to one conclusion and then jump to another, never having done his homework.
4. Administration - I want a President who will surround himself with a host of good people who cover the ideological spectrum - this way I can have the best input from all points of view so that I can make the best decision.
5. Administrators - I want a cabinet that is the best - I want a diplomat who understands war for the State department; I want an Administrator who understands politics and the vagaries of the federal government to run the military; and I want the best that there is for all of the other departments.
6. I want a Nationalist for President! My President must put the interests of the United States above all others. He must recognize that self interest rules all of the governments of the world, and must shape policies to achieve the goals of the US while attracting as many allies as possible.
7. I want a man of honor and moral integrity. Did this man learn from past mistakes, or will he repeat his errors?

GW Bush ain't my idea of the best there is, but, IN MY OPINION, he's the better of the two men running at this time.

Someone who won't accelerate social meltdown.

Clinton had stuff like the WTC bombing, but he never over-reacted and destabilised the general international structure, unlike dum-dum.
Consequently, prosperity, and relative stability/peace, lasted through both Clintons terms.
The machine kept working. Everyone did well.

Then a dumbass gung-ho chickenhawk Republican gets the helm.
So now you have oil prices going through the roof, the middle east a bigger mess than ever, an inevitable war with Iran (which those cowardly wanxs made no mention of at the Republican convention)
Because of dum-dum, instead of 'fighting terrorism' your military is busy preventing a social meltdown in the largest oil producing area of the world.

And diplomacy with this administration is a joke.
The choices now are: Submit. or get yourself a Kalashnikov.

Its a repeat of Vietnam.
I suppose its because the US is relatively isolated.

Okay tiger. You go kick their ass.

eek - you're a limey - why should you care about my President? Blair should do what's in the UK's best interests - or you can vote in a new PM.

Bush should do what is in the United States best interests; if enough people don't feel that he's done a good enough job, then the Frenchman, Hanoi John will become President.

Since we took the war to them, and the US hasn't been attacked since 911, the swing vote will go to Bush. As of right now, Bush should win easily.

Maybe you can start a group - "Limeys for Kerry"!

By the way, there's nothing wrong with a "submit or die" policy - as long as they do most of the dieing!

The Bush administration has had to made many very difficult decisions and Bush has stood by these decisions, no matter how controversial. The liberals have enjoyed the advantage of not having to make any decisions. After the upcoming election, they will still enjoy that advantage.

I want a president who is not afraid of protecting the country, who won't look at focus groups and polls ...when Kim Dong Ill says he prefers Kerry because he will be easier to talk to...thats all you need to know.

Or that won't paint his fxckin botox face orange....Jesus what a fxckin empty suited sap Qerry is.

If the fxckin Euro-jerkos backed up their own useless UN resolutions in the first place Iraq wouldn't be anywhere near the mess it is now.
