Bet Jamaica offers them. I contacted customer service, but did not understand the explanation. This is the response I was given:

"If you first straight wager wins, ties, cancels, etc. you have action on your remaining straight wager. Action Reverse bets are always double action IF bets."

Thanks

must admit, as much as i have gambled in my life, and consider myself very knowledgeable on gambling, i dont understand that bet either...

I have read the rules for them, but dont see how they are different then a parlay, and got tired of trying to understand, so i just gave up....

Okay let's say you have a reverse with The Steelers-2' with Chiefs+1'.
First part of bet is Steelers if to Chiefs.
Let's say bet is for 100
If Steeler's cover you have action on the Chief's game.If They don't you have no action.
The second part of the bet is Chiefs if win to the Steelers. If Chief's cover you then have action on Steelers.Any clearer?

If Steeler's don't cover and Chiefs do,the ist part loses-110.And second part loses-10.If Both teams cover you would win 400.
If both lose you would lose -220.

How is it different than a parlay? When would I want to use an Action/Reverse?

In a parlay if you lose one of the two, you lose the money automatically.
In a reverse you still have a chance if you lose one to recover some money on the second part of the bet if the other pick wins.

if you pick two teams at -110 for a $100

you are laying 220/400 (+181) compare to a 2 team parlay (+260) 220/572

if you one team wins and the other is a lose you loose -$10(which is good, but when you bet you bet to win)

if one team wins and the other is a push you won 200 (just like a parlay when it reverts to a straight bet)

I like parlays better..

Seems like a great bet....if you split, you only lose a small amount. It seems worth the sacrifice of the extra winnings.

Let me get the straight. Is the sole purpose of this wager is to protect against a push on one of the wagers?

Action reverse or if bet - A group of 2 wagers, where the second is conditional on the outcome of the first. The 2nd half of the reverse is live if and only if the first half of the reverse is won. When you specify action then the second bet is activated if and only if the first bet either wins or ties.

most of the books offer this wager as double action because if one team push and the other looses it force the bet to continue the action (good for the shop)

a -110 110/100 loss -110
b -110 110/100 push 0

b -110 110/100 push 0 (Action continues)
a -110 110/100 loss -110
total lost -220

in a single action reverse

a -110 110/100 loss -110
b -110 110/100 push 0

b -110 110/100 push 0 STOP
a -110 110/100 loss
total lost -110
