Some early plays I'm considering...
Favorites bet so far:

Arizona -6/Stanford* (Stoops on the road -- Zona's defense is #2 in the country!)
Oregon St.-29/WSU* (I really think they will unleash it after the tough loss last week)
SJ St.-15.5/UTSU* (bite sized opponent that played their guts out and lost last week)
Air Force-9/SDSU* (SDSU just sucks)

Waiting on line movement:
Oregon-17/UCLA
Tough to take the points with ASU/USC if Carpenter is messed up.

Interesting that these favorites looked the best right off.
I guess it's just about how the teams match up to me and the situations.
I'm waiting on a possible dog that might look better later on.

I think USC kills Arizona State..

Would love to hear more from you on that one.
The good news is that teams with no chance to beat USC historically have the best chance to beat USC.

Its hard to know which USC will show up, the one that played last Sat or the one that played Oregon State. 20 points is quite alot for a PAC10 game if they lay an egg.

I can't ignore the way USC snapped out of their funk and ran off 41 unanswered points vs Oregon, shutting down their running game too limiting them to just 60 yards on the ground. WOW! That took their defense some doing. I think the line is 25 vs ASU... hard getting used to the idea of laying that many vs ASU who was picked by many to place 2nd this season.

And about ASU:

I am starting to think that ASU's last 2 losses prior to Cal were no fluke either. Too many excuses now. They seem to be having difficulties in many phases of the game. There are a lot of new players in the lineup too. And what happened to their defense? It's nowhere near what it was last season, not by a long shot. Erickson has been experimenting with different new players for a reason. Carpenter can't do it by himself. If Erickson can't shake it up and get the Sun Devils playing well, this team is going to wind up in a minor bowl game a ways down the list. Now what's up with Rudy Carpenter's status... (he threw a couple dumb picks last weekend too. I have good reason to question the Sun Devils at the moment.)

It's clear that this team needed to do some soul searching to start ripping through the conference the way it does OOC opponents. If they have their minds made up, they will play like Oklahoma plays without regard for the status of their opponent on the other side of the line. They'll play their game instead of playing down to their opponents. That's the only cure to the Jekyll and Hyde personality. They have to play for their own sake and nothing else.

Why WSU? The points they will be getting in every game is more than they will ever score. How generous does the linemaker need to be for them to get a cover? That's the only question.

I think they will be catching a very pissed off Beaver team this week.

I just get a feeling they will come out & steal a game from someone they shouldn't. I think Oregon St is the best candidate for such a game although I'd probably have a much better time hitting the lottery multiple times like 'The Mailman".

Well with as many points as you are getting (more than 4 TDs) maybe... but then again teams have been taking turns on WSU's ass bigtime. Remember how the Beavers came back after losing to PSU and they took Hawaii behind the shed at Reser? I think in both cases they are similarly pissed off and need to vent. Geezus... Lobbestael has to face Reser and probably the meanest and fastest secondary yet. The Beaver defense might outscore the Cougars.

I've watched every coug game for the past 7 years or so....And I've played against Wazzu every game this year with the exception aginst Portland (no line)...I plan on laying the points against them every game this year with the exception of the Apple Cup - UW game...I haven't seen a Wazzu team this bad in I can't remember how long. We have no O-Line, a 3rd string QB, no D-Line, no LB's and no secondary. Spells disaster...That OSU RB is going to rack up 200+yards against us...He's too quick.

Lay the points...

Go to 5 Dimes & you would have had a line on the Portland State game :)

I can't lay 29 points in a conference game regardless of how bad a team is. One of these games they will find a way to steal it & I'm thinking this could be one.

Carpenter as an ankle sprain. May or not play play but I think he will try to gut it out.

The swagger/confidence is gone from this team. Add to that injuries to key guys, lack of depth, no leadership, and inexperience and the rest of this month could get ugly. this weekend very well could be a massacre.

I agree... ASU is done.. they are going to get torched this weekend and the rest of the season looks sad as well... I have not lost the ASU/AZ game in years and depending on the line I will be on AZ as they should take ASU to the wood shed in Tucson... The only problem is between now and than we are going to lose line value as both teams are headed in opposite directions.. If they played the game this Sat Az would win by at least 14

I am warming up to the idea of laying the 25 points figuring USC has busted through its complacent and lazy attitude and has come out to play aggressively. But I don't know if they've fallen in love with themselves or not. That will put them back behind the 8 ball again in a minute. I think it might be a good idea to read some of the blogs and see if it's possible to get a feel for the attitude of the team. DC Nick Holt was plenty pissed off during the first quarter last week. I saw his face. It also helps to have a decent QB running the offense. You have to admit Sanchez can pick up that offense and run it pretty well when he wants to.

And about Oregon this week...
I've waited years to see this kind of talent emerge in their 2ndary and it's first class. But the way they've been playing and defensing other teams makes me ill. So now I'm back on the Alliotti must go bandwagon. You can't keep ignoring a big problem that's gone on for years on their coaching staff. It's not fair to Chip Kelly and the rest of the team if the Beaver defense gives them shitty field position and hardly enough TOP to function... taking away the Duck ground game by giving up too many points... you name it, I'm done with that DC. Nevertheless the Ducks should have plenty of time to run and score on UCLA this week. Kevin Craft and the Bruins mediocre (at best) offense will make the Duck defense look good, no thanks to Nick Alliotti.
