I'm going to start this week with a MWC selection.

Lay the 6½ with Hawaii over UNLV. The Bows are playing at home
and it sure looks like they finally found themselves a quarterback.

I think we'll be hearing about Dru Brown for some years to come.
He's only a sophomore.

It's like night and day. Bet them now before the rest of the world
figures it out this season.

I should add that Dru Brown has started just the last 2 games after
he replaced Ikaika Woolsey at QB. Brown has been on fire throwing
at a blistering 77% completion pct. over the last 2 games with solid
wins over Nevada and @SJSU.

Arizona is a mess right now. Really like that play. As a diehard Michigan fan I have followed Rich Rod's career closely. For a guy widely considered to be the "father" of the zone read / spread option, Rich Rod, for whatever reason, has not been able to enhance his offense since his days at WVU. I haven't seen a whole lot of change from the things RR did at WVU to Michigan and to Arizona. Teams have caught on to what RR wants to do. RR has struggled to recruit a QB that can run his offense 100%. This arizona defense is not very good. I think the over might be a good play here too, but I really like the USC -7 too. Good luck Conan.

What he said.

I should also add that Sam Darnold is turning out to be quite the kid. I hate to admit it but USC has shown improvement every week for a while now. They really outplayed the Buffs by a noticeable amount last week. Were it not for 3 fumbles on their first 3 possessions and a pick later on, those 4 turnovers cost them at least a couple TD's. I'm sure the issue of ball protection is high on the agenda in practice this week. Their defense looks pretty stout too throttling Colorado's rushing game and putting the brakes on the rest of their offense. The Buffs are a quality team.

Adoree Jackson is a real stud. On TV they were discussing the last time a defensive player won the Heisman. He's that good.

I'll make it official...

Pat White's and Denard Robinson's don't grow on trees. Without them, RR is an overrated coach.

I don't think Zona is that far away, they just seem to be really young. And they've atleast got their QB on campus, but again, very young. Not sure what happened to Solomon but he seemed to be a bit too fragile. Not sure why everyone hates on RR, but it's nice to see Zona lose.

I would agree. Week by week USC has improved by leaps and bounds. Think about it, even with all the turnovers against CU, they controlled the ball. Say for Darnold fumbling at the 1yd line going in for a score, and JuJu taking a knee with a minute left as he's going to score when he's wide open, the game against CU would have looked much different. I haven't heard an update on RB Justin Davis though although it looked like an ankle injury. He did not return so keep that in mind.

"They seem like they just don't care," true freshman safety Brenden Schooler said of some teammates. "We've told them if you don't want to be here then leave, but no one leaves so I hope everyone wants to be here. ... If you're not here to compete, why are you here?"

Senior right guard Cameron Hunt said not everyone on the team is working hard enough to win and some players haven’t “bought-in” to what the coaching staff is selling.

One look at Oregon and you can see many players have quit on Helfrich and his staff. Hoke hire was a major blunder but firing him at this point might be a even bigger blunder.

How do you go from playing for a national championship to
flirting with a 2-win year after just 6 weeks into the season?

Simple answer... lack of leadership. It's no wonder that
there are players who are already hanging up their cleats.

That just makes me sick.

The Hoke hire was the mother of all blunder hires. The guy has never been a DC. They couldn't find a guy that ran the 3-4 defense? That's what you recruited to for years. Easier transition.

After 2-4 start, Oregon AD Rob Mullens will give Mark Helfrich a chance to "turn it" before end-of-year evaluation.

Not exactly a vote of confidence.

It looks to me like WSU has hit its stride after a slow start. Beating
Oregon wasn't much of an accomplishment as things turn out. Maybe
even beating Stanford wasn't such a big deal either. But Luke Falk
has looked fabulous, WSU's defense has been hitting on all 8 and
miracle of all miracles, the Coogs even have shown that running the
ball isn't just a wet dream either. Also, it looks like the curse of the
injured QB has returned to Westwood.

Use the force Luke.

I've seen a few 8's in the Hawaii game. IMO it's still worth a play.

Is it time to jump off that Buffs train, Conan? They are the only 6-0 ATS team left standing, but certainly were a lucky cover last week against USC. Colorado -13 is getting kind of pricey, what's the Sun Devil QB situation? Heard the backup may be hurt and Wilkins is ?

I never said it didn't take guts.

I need to take a better look at the Sun Deviis. They are in the running for the division lead
along with the Buffs. All that drama gives me pause to think things through. Attitude starts
to mean different things in situations like this. Perhaps the nut is sitting around close by.
ASU can rack up the points but the Buff's defense will play a major part in whether or not
Colorado gets the cover. They're pretty good.

Word here is Wilkins will probably play.

ASU had to burn a red shirt on our freshman QB last week for one play. ;+)-

Brutal. If he has to play, can't be worse than Brady White though. He's deplorable...
