I simply stated that Iowa played no one during the season. They were undefeated until they played a quality team. If they would have played, Michigan, Michigan St, or Ohio state during the season this thread would have never existed. No where in the initial post was there anything said about them getting blown out. As far as your comment about Iowa playing in the Rose Bowl that would be a good matchup with Stanford imo.
had played no one? at Northwestern - ask Stanford about that. at Nebraska - ask Michigan St about that. you wouldn't hear David Shaw or Mark Dantonio calling those teams cupcakes. but I suppose you know more than those coaches huh? and even with Wisconsin being down (9-3) not many teams win at Camp Randall. and Pitt's a quality win.
if you actually watched the B1G Championship game, what makes you so convinced Iowa couldn't beat Michigan or Ohio State? perhaps if Sparty blows out Iowa than you maybe sorta not really have a case about Iowa, but they didn't and in fact Iowa led most of the game. MSU's epic 22 play 9 minute drive to win it will be remembered for years and they certainly deserved the win, but Iowa went toe to toe with a "quality team" (your words) and lost in the final minute. ergo, Iowa is a quality team.
if 12-0 was so easy every team would do it. if 12-0 was so easy you'd have more than ONE undefeated team remaining. get a clue.
First of all a 22 play 9 minute drive is telling about one thing, the opposing defense. Don't get all bent out of shape over the truth. Northwestern is what they are, a mid level team that beat one team, stanford who we've seen This year is very beatabable.
Nevraska ka only best Mich st because a bogus call, everyone knows that. Using a win at wisconsin this year or win against Pitt will not elevate your argument, it further proves how awful your division of football is.

1) Iowa likely makes the B1G title game even if they had to play 2 of the big 3 (tOSU, Mich, MSU). They clearly were a very good team and took another very good Sparty team to the final seconds.
2) Iowa likely isnt undefeated if they had to play 2 of the big 3 during the regular season.....but they may still have been in the final discussion at 11-1 going into the B1G champ game
3) NW, Wisky and Nebraska are decent teams but any good team can beat them. Sometimes good teams lose to them. Sparty on a completely luckbox series. Stanford back in game 1 when teams are still finding their way.....
Iowa was a very good team this year. They played smart and were well coached (though Ferentz needs to take the stick out of his ass and actually go for it on 4th and inches sometime.....have just a WEEEEEEEEE bit of faith in your offense). They avoided big injuries and have a very fortunate schedule. They played much better than most expected them to
Hawkeyes have to be happy with how the season turned out even if they did miss out on the NC playoffs....

Nobody said that 12-0 was easy. You dont hear me saying anything about Clemson being undefeated and how easy it was for them. You know why???? Because they had 3 top 10 wins during the season. 1. Notre Dame. 2. FSU. 3. North Carolina. Last time i checked IOWA beat no one in the top 10 and when they did get the chance to play a top 10 team, they lost. So if your claim to fame is a big win vs a 5-7 Nebraska team with Tommie Armstrong's 4 picks then so be it. Whatever makes you feel better. Iowa is a quality team. I never said they weren't. They just benefited from a weak schedule.
It seems at the end of the regular season the top teams all have 1 loss. It just matters when you lose and to who. If osu would have lost to anyone but msu they'd been in final 4 probably. Shoot al almost didn't make it if it wasn't for that play in Ar/miss game. That's just the way it works but it sucks when you don't get the best 4 teams
