Special shout out to the RX for all the updates and news. Here we go with yet another football season. I can taste it, and have been for the past month (3 vegas trips in July, early August).
Plays made in Las Vegas mostly, but also Greek and 2 others.
Miami Ohio -2 (opener anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5)
Deeper team, 'capped at 70% win shot.
Stanford +4.5 (opened at 6 supposedly, 5 confirmed)
Do not like OSU QB situation, and think they do not perform as well on the real grass.
Temple -3 and -4 (opened -2 according to the RX)
One team has 21-22 returning starters and 2 letermen lose while the other has 8 returning starters and 40 lettermen lost
East Carolina +10 (opened at +11)
Do not think Va Tech is as good as last year although still pick them to win ACC.
Wyoming -9 (not sure what opener was)
Pure speculation. Ohio U reported to be down a notch in 2008.
Louisiana Tech +10 (same as openers)
Great 2007 season by Miss St. but going to have to prove it to me one more time.
Northern Illinois +10 (openers may have been slightly higher, small play)
Not sure how to read NIU right now but worth a shot?
LA Laff +12.5 (no line movement until recently, unsure about openers)
Could be dead wrong here but don't like the way So. Miss handled the coaching change
Kent +10.5 (small play, expectations are line to go up)
Not a true home site but close enough with B College undergoing some changes on offense.
UCLA +7 (small play, made before injury - all these plays made from 1-4 weeks ago)
Prior to injury though Tennessee was getting too much respect. Understand UCLA's lack of team depth, that's why it's a small play, but can't underestimate how bad previous head coach was.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Not played yet...
Most plays are in as I 'capped this figuring I'd already seen best of lines, save for 1-2 mistakes, injuries, etc.
Looking at Bowling Green, but want 14 points.
Looking at Virginia, but while waiting for line to go from 20.5 to 21 the injury caused it to be removed.
If there was a line on Delaware-Maryland, I'd look at the points.
Northern Iowa would look attractive vs. BYU if there was a line.
