Here is my play of the year:

According to vegasinsider.com, Ohio State is at +1. GIVE ME THE BUCKEYES! I honestly think this a gift. A night game in the Horse Shoe, an opportunity for redemption in front of the entire nation (redemption for the Southern Cal game), and a tremendous opportunity to get back into the thick of things for the national title chase. Mark my words, TRESSEL WILL NOT LOSE THIS GAME!!! I am hoping that the line moves in the favor of Penn State, making them a bigger favorite (I doubt this will happen). If this is the case, I will not hesitate to put an extra $500 on the moneyline. Ohio State will win the game convincingly! MARK IT DOWN!

Also, another play that I really like is Florida State (-6) at home against an average (at best) VA Tech team. The Florida State defense will be hunting down Tyrod Taylor all game; he will be eating Seminole dirt all day long.

GIVE ME THE BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Penn State is a team of destiny this year. Your pick will go down in flames IMO.

I have been skeptical on the Buckeyes all year (especially after the USC debacle). But Ohio St as a dog at home at night versus a team who has never beaten them on their home field since they joined the Big 11...are you serious?

Ohio State will win this football game. They won't beat them like they smashed Mich St on Saturday, but they will win. Pryor gets better with every snap, Beanie Wells gets healthier every week (he is the best RB in the nation when helathy hands down) and Ohio St's defense is still a typical Ohio St defense.

Why??? Other than the reasons I listed...here is why...OHIO STATE is the better team! Just remeber where you heard it first.

College Football needs to be based on a few factors (I am not going to write a thesis over my reasons):

1. Coaching: As of RIGHT NOW, I would take Tressel over Joe Pa in a heartbeat (Advantage: Ohio State).
2. Quarterback Play: Both QB's from both sides have been efficient. Pryor has already played against the best defense in the country. Besides that, he's getting better every week (just like fballplaya mentioned). Clark has also been efficient. But, he has not seen anything like Ohio State's defense, along with not playing in the Horse Shoe. I would also not be surprised to see Boeckman get some series. (Advantage: Push)

Defense: (Advantage: Ohio State)...best defense in the Big Ten.

Homefield Advantage: At night? In the Horse Shoe?

Like I said, remember where you heard this first!

Lionman, I don't know what kind of Kool-Aid you've been drinking!

People who are on PSU are going to be incredibly disappointed come 11:00 Saturday night!

I'll let Joe Public blow this line up before hitting OSU.

Ohio State doesn't have the best defense in the big ten. They get no up front push, no pass rush without a blitz and with en efficient offense Penn State will be able to move the ball against the blitz.

Penn State is the only BCS team ranked in the top 10 in both Offense and Defense. Good luck but I am prolly going the other way.

I think a game like this will come down to the QB's and Penn St. has much better QB. The Lions are a little suspect on defense but they are a better team than Ohio St. Penn St. by 7 "you heard it here first" :103631605

Please don't give me the Buckeyes can get back in the national title run here...THEY ARE NOT PLAYING IN THE TITLE GAME AGAIN!!! If I was a Buckeye fan I wouldn't even want that to happen.

Let's review the above quote shall we?

They got killed by a more talented USC team who only prepares for big games then craps their pants against the Oregon St's and Stanford's of the world, 3000 miles away from home....Penn St isn't as good as USC and the game is in Columbus...

They got killed by LSU.....yes, they played basically AT LSU and lost to another more talented team. Penn St is not as good as that LSU team and again, the game is in Columbus....

Same thing with Florida...more talented team....blah blah...

The moral of the story is Ohio St is more talented then Penn St and they are playing at home.

BOL to those who play Penn St....

TroySacks: I said as of RIGHT NOW (Let's compare Joe Pa and Tressel from the time Tressel has been at OSU). I am aware of Joe Pa's History. But since Tressel has been at OSU, who has won more Big 10 titles? Who has been to/ won more national title games? If you were to rank the best coaches as of today, Tressel would be above Joe Pa. Also, stats can be misleading. Who has Penn State played? The Ohio State/ Wisconsin game, compared to the PSU/ Wisconsin game were completely different circumstances. With Ohio State's last minute win, that took the wind out of Wisconsin's sails; they didn't and haven't yet recovered from that game (an unbiased fan would agree those were two completely different Wisconsin teams). Other than that, who have they played? Please don't tell me that Illinois is a good team...that is one joker team!

Tootight: Why can't this game put Ohio State back in the national championship picture, like any other one-loss team? A win here would put them back in the thick of things. I didn't say, if they win, they will be a front-runner. You're blowing things way out of proportion. Damn right you heard it from me first! I hope you're an arrogant Penn State backer who puts your child's college tuition on the line in this game (I mean since your completely confident that PSU will win convincingly) and gets absolutely burned! I will be calling out your ass late Saturday night, telling you that I told you so!

Um, yeah! I am very confident that OSU will win this game. That is why the title of this thread is called, "PLAY OF THE YEAR".
