After two mortuary stink weeks the stinkers came up roses last week. That was last week.
///
Thursday:
Denver -9 -104 (vs SDo)
This line stinks like the poop of a dead fish. Everybody knows that San Diego got ambushed at home last week by junior Div rival, Kansas Shitty, while looking ahead to the Division Big Dog, Denver. But are they good enough to go into Mile High (is that what they call it these days?) and compete?
Here are some numbers:
Rivers on the road to Azo; Buff; Oak
6 TDs to 1 int
San Diego D to same weak competition
5 sacks and 3 turnovers gained
Peyton home to Indy; KCy; Azo; SFo
14 TDs to 2 ints
Denver D to same pretty tough competition
14 sacks and 3 turnovers gained
I've got San Diego ranked #3 in pass D in the NFL but that ranking came against weak compretition - Carson Palmer; Russell Wilson; EJ Manuel; Blake Bortles; Geno Smith; David Carr; and Alex Smith. See anybody in there to come close to rivaling Peyton as a pure passing QB? See anybody with the stable of receivers that Peyton has? Me either.
Throw in a resurgent run game since Ronnie Hillman got the start two weeks ago.
Think Peyton puts up 35-40 here. Can the Bolts keep up? Rivers hasn't seen a pass rush like DeMarcus Ware and Von Miller. Think his turnovers bloat tonight.
So I'm thinking that Big Dog Denver holds the hill tonight.
