Week 6 when public starts losing??

I have been reading some info and is it true that around week 6 until the end of the season is when the public starts losing? Looking for any information on the past history of this.

Be careful. I went down that road, operating on the assumption that the public was going to get smoked--pretty random, at the end of the day. Cap your games and play what you feel is right. Don't overthink...joe public kills sometimes, sometime j.p. Gets killed. Vegas has no knowledge on future events.

isnt the public basically made up of people like us who actually know a little about whats going on? because when i see everyone against the public im picturing the public as someones granny flipping a coin and betting based on the result...if that was the case then i could see the value
