nice oren - they all look good.

I like the panthers but I'm holding off because I'm worried about their injuries.

I wonder if houston might try to play with 10 defensive backs on Randy moss since there wont be a running back for them to worry about... Looks too easy at -3.5 doesnt it?

heh, yeah, I know it seems silly for me to call it a "best bet," it's not like I know something anyone else doesn't, and it is a huge public play. But I'm of the "public" so there you go. I guess the Texans are getting some respect after beating the Raiders, but, I'd say most of the blame falls on the Raiders shoulders than praise should be heaped on the Texans. I don't see why the Vikings should have too much trouble with them, although their defensive backs did look good against the Raiders receivers. So who knows. I read your write-up on the Carolina game and would also agree that they are somewhat evenly matched teams, though Carolina of course has more injuries, and other problems this year, but still I saw the 6 points and think there's value in that line. Wow San Diego sure whooped on the Titans, thats the only reason I didn't take the Jags, gl with that one though. :suomi:

from Panthers.com on Davis:

Comments from Carolina Panthers Head Coach John Fox following the team's practice. <table align="right" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="180"> <tbody><tr> <td>
</td> <td>
</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2">
spacer.gif
</td> </tr> </tbody></table> On how running back Stephen Davis practiced: He looked good. He moved around good. We'll have to wait and see what kind of effect the work had (on his knee) after practice.

On if Davis will start at Denver: He is going to be day-to-day whether he is active for the game. Right now, he is listed as questionable, and we're going to take it one day at a time.

On what will determine if Davis plays against the Broncos: It's a combination of everything. That is why we say day-to-day because we evaluate it everyday. I think it (knee) held up good and he looked good in practice today. We'll see what kind of effect (practice) has on it and we'll look at it from there.

I initially stayed away from this play partly because it's just hard to imagine a team 2 years removed form the superbowl starting out 0-5, but, now that I know Simms is getting the start, how can you not take a shot at it.

maybe betting the under on a Seahawks/Rams game isn't such a good idea.

4-2 on the day best bet squeeked by at 1-0

18-14 best bets are 4-3

Nice work Oren. I was licking my chops going against Chris Simms today too. It wasn't Simms that got us, it was horrible everything by the Saints today.

I think Tennesse has got to be a little better than their record... and I'm not sure if Green Bay is. May be totally irrelevant but the Titans punked the Pack in the preseason in Tennessee this year. Still, I'm going with my gut feeling which tells you only laying 3 points on Favre in Lambeau is the way to go.

knew the Pack wasn't that strong of a play, but DAMN they got their asses handed to them by another 1-3 team. Luckily I added that over.
