I dont think that there will be any pool this week where everyone will take the Colts. Right now, I feel the same way and live to fight another day. Or take the broncos (although they cost me $$$ last year in week #8 with only 6 of us left)

i dont see any others that i would like to be on even up

any thoughts?

POPS, I am still alive in my pool.
Week 1: Cinci, Week2: Philly, week 3: Indy, week 4: Carolina, this week I think my best choise is Denver, considering I've already shot my Indy Bullet.

Thoughts on any other team I could use?

Thanks Guys

Budworth I had the EXACT same first four weeks picking teams in our suicide pool...down to 3 of us (from a few hundred).

Sportsbet, is it safe to assume you will be on Denver?

guys, denver is such an up and down team. i lost with them last year in week 8, as a hugh home fav and playing great, they lost by 10 vs to atl

i was thinking that myself. in mine we can use the same team as many times as we want. this could be an all out week, seen it many many time b4, but dont see much else other than them that i like either though

Pops,

You and Winks weren't kidding about the eye candy at the Hard Rock. Can't wait to go back.

Indy looks like the play this week as your mission should just be to survive until week 6. I'm glad I haven't used Indy for either of my two entries in my survivor pool yet. Most people already have and I expect our current field of 550 (from 2K) to take a major hit.

You hit the nail on the head with Denver - they are completely unpredictable at times - I lost with them last year in like week 12 vs. OAK. They blew a double digit lead in the 4th quarter in the snow...I still don't know how that happened. I'm glad I don't have to take Denver this week - the rest of the games look like they could go either way. One possiblity may be STL - they owned SEA last year. Also, San Diego looks like they are back on track, but Pitt is tough to go against.

Guys what about Green Bay in a shootout win next week ??

Or Houston to squeak out a win vs the Titans ?

Scary to think but the Lions may be a play

Thoughts fellas ?

i can't take Cincy, Jets, Rams and Ravens

Thanks

willis: got to love the rock. ton of unlv chick, and hot out of town'ers

weed: save the colts, and go the bucks. jets have no chance of scoring, unless its on dfence. although i had betting road fav. they got the bad game out of there system last weekend, and could have easily lost

i guess im in the safest boat with taking the colts. if they lose so will everyone, and we all play another week. but who want to be safe

still thinking, nite all

Right now i'm debating between the Lions and Colts

Possibly the Packers and perhaps the Browns

What's your take pops ?

been a broncos' fan for almost 30 years so i think i know this team

denver/wash SCARES THE CRAP out of me. this is the EXACT SPOT where denver has historically thrown in a "clinker" and turns what should be an easy win into one that is life-and-death at the end. i can see this being a 17-13/20-17 game with 2 minutes left with denver either holding on for dear life or needing to get 1 more score to either tie or win the game

i still have indy left but would like to save them for another week where i REALLY need them - and i know what week that is. but i also know i can save Indy and never get to use them if i lose this week

before the season began i do what i do every year and map out the entire season week-by-week. obviously i never stick 100% to that but it really helps out. this week i originally wanted to go with the Bills over Miami and sort of "pushed that aside" once Lohsman started sucking the joint up. but now that the Bills are going with Kelly Holcombe they are once again a team i am looking at (can't believe i just said that). i want to go against Miami one last time before Ricky comes back next week. will i pull the trigger on the Bills? I dunno

i am also looking at this week: Browns, Jags, Packers and Rams but with the exception of the Rams - the rest of the teams are "Dog Manure" and at this point i don't want to be doing that (My pool started with 252 and now only has 63 so 75% are gone after 4 weeks) for MOST pools don't last past Week 10 - if that - and looking at the sked the next few weeks there are some BRUTAL weeks where there are going to be A LOT of people taking "dog manure" teams or having to take games where ANYTHING can happen

i really wanna take Denver for with the exception of a game hosting NYJ this is about the only great spot left for them - if i am going to use them at all this season. i used this way of thinking the last 2 weeks in taking SD over NYG and last week the Ravens over NYJ and I only did that because of Brooks Bollinger playing for NYJ and I KNEW he would do what he did.

my deadline is 9A (PDT) and TRUST ME - i plan on using every single last second to make my pick this week.

last year i got knocked out in Week 4 when I took GB over NYG and Favre didn't play much and GB lost 14-7 (i sense many people lost it then) and i KNOW if i can get by the next 2-3 weeks my chances of winning my pool increase exponentially for by Week 8 i sense only about 10-20 at most will be left out of the 63 currently alive - and just looking at Week 7 i see that week being a bloodbath!

Besides the INDI game and maybe the DENVER game...this is the hardest week I have ever seen for picking just straight up winners.

Too many people keep telling me that Philly is a gimme....I think it is a trap game that scares the hell out of me. Any thoughts?

Don,

I agree that this is one of the most difficult weeks I have ever seen. Luckily I have Indy left - I was going to go with Indy and Stl, but I'm switching my STL to GB (I don't think they lose this week).

I used Philly already so I haven't really looked at the PHi/Dal game. I don't see Dallas winning this game, but this is the NFL - this will be the best Def that the tinman has faced so far and I look for him to make at least 1 costly mistake.

Everyone in my pool is on Den, so I'm a huge Was fan today. GL.
