Omitted Ole Miss from the list of teams who have not yet lost ATS.

So far 4 teams have made it into the current AP top 25 who were not on the preseason top 25 list. They are Miss State (3-1 ATS), BYU (2-2 ATS), E. Carolina (4-0 ATS), and Kansas St (1-2 ATS). So combined those 4 teams are 10-5 ATS (67%). The four teams they replaced from the preseason AP top 25 are Clemson (2-1 ATS), N. Carolina (0-3 ATS), Missouri (2-2 ATS) and Washington (1-3 ATS). Combined those 4 teams are 5-9 ATS (36%).

Florida St is 0-3 ATs and UCLA is 0-3 ATS. E. Carolina leads the pack at 4-0 ATS.

I look for the following teams to move into the top 25 before long: TCU (2-0 ATS), Utah (3-0 ATS)

Georgia's only win ATS was as a dog.

Clemson will start true freshman quarterback Deshaun Watson against North Carolina this weekend, coach Dabo Swinney said Sunday.
[+] Enlarge John David Mercer/USA TODAY SportsDeshaun Watson's work in relief led Clemson coach Dabo Swinney to name the true freshman his starting quarterback.

Watson showed tremendous potential in relief of starter Cole Stoudt in a 23-17 overtime loss to Florida State on Saturday night, entering the game in the second quarter and playing the rest of the way. He gave the Tigers an opportunity to pull the upset with pinpoint passes and good decision making, finishing 19-of-28 for 266 yards.
"He just played great, took care of the ball, and made some big plays so really proud of him," Swinney said. "You never know until you see them in that situation. We know we have something special in that young man and to see him go and execute like he did was fun to be a part of."
Stoudt, a fifth-year senior, started the first three games for the Tigers, with Watson coming on in relief. Each time Watson came into the game, it seemed as if he would win the starting job eventually based on his performance.
Though Swinney seemed hesitant last week to bench Stoudt, watching Watson against the top-ranked Seminoles made the decision easier for him. Stoudt was pulled from the game one drive after misfiring on a touch pass that would have given Clemson a touchdown. Instead, the Tigers missed a field goal, one of several blown red-zone opportunities that ended up haunting them.
Swinney said Stoudt will continue to get an opportunity to compete, but right now the majority of reps with the first team in practice belong to Watson.
"It's a tough situation and it's not as much what Cole did as it is what Deshaun did in that situation," Swinney said. "First two games, Cole played very well and Deshaun played well. This game, we have no idea how these things are going to play out. Cole did fine other than he missed that one throw, but we've got to make that play.
"Deshaun comes in and took us down the field and scored, and we go back with him and we continued to play at a high level."

The top 25 in my average rankings are as follows starting with the best average:

Baylor, Texas A&M, Ole Mis, Duke, Marshall, Utah, Oklahoma, Georgia, Wisconsin, Alabama, Auburn, TCU, Miss St, Temple, Memphis, Miss St, Nebraska, Arizona St, NC State, Oregon, Louisville, Notre Dame, Ohio St, Pitt, and Mich State

And guess what this group is 63-30-2 ATS (67%)

If you throw out Wisc, Ala, Ore and Ariz St the remainder of teams are 59-20 ATS (75%)

Russ, does Muschamp make it through the end of the year? (before he's canned). I can't see UF going better than 5-6 (UT, Vandy, and E. Kentucky). UT will make or break him. If he doesn't replace the QB (Driskel) he's done...

Hard to say, apparently the new OC could not do anything magical in the first year. Driskel is obviously struggling. If they did fire him mid season who would step in temporarily.

Not sure who would step in as interim, Roper possibly. The problem is Driskel on O. 100%. The issue is they only have 2 true freshman waiting in the wings.

The other issue: the Defense. That is supposed to be Muschamp's "specialty"....and they give up THE MOST YARDS in the HISTORY of the program!! Unreal.

The guy is a dud. The experiment is over. He should have been canned a year ago.

Well maybe Texas finally got away with one. The heir apparent is apparently an asst coach thru and thru. I think Florida should hire Tebow in some capacity (remember when I was called a Tebow hater lol) and help infuse some attitude into the team. He could be a QB coach for sure. It was asking too much from Roper but I don't see him as a long term replacement or even an interim. I say let Muschamp seal the deal. If the players don't rally around him then it is obvious he has to go. Who would want him as a HC at this point and time? If nobody else wants him why should Florida keep him around.
