Picked up SF defense for $5 on waivers. Can I save some of these points for next week. Doesn't make up for 0-2 last week

I had 6 players on my roster having their bye week, including my starting tight end Tony Gonzales. As a result, I pugged in his backup (17th round draft pick) Heath Miller (28 pts and counting).

I did the same . With the Eagles in a bye, my only other option was the Jets, but I didn't like their matchup (Saints). Spent $15 from my waiver funds (which was probably 15 more than I needed to). I got 10 more points out of the Bengals than if I had started the Jets.
