<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:State><st1lace>New York</st1lace></st1:State> Jets at <st1:City><st1lace>San Diego</st1lace></st1:City> Chargers -8.5<o></o>
This game is a COMPLETE mismatch. The Chargers are among the best 3 teams in the league. The Jets are in the bottom 10 of the league. The Chargers have a chip on their shoulder, and it’s going to be evident in primetime, in front of their amped up crowd. On offense I like the Chargers to have a heavy dose of run, sprinkled in with a few play actions against this Jets defense. On the flipside of the ball, I don’t see what Favre is going to be able to do against this San Diego D. San Diego’s corners are going to man up with the Jets wide outs, and that is going to force the Jets to have to go with Thomas Jones in this game. One stat that is ALARMING is that in 5 games last year against 3-4 defenses Thomas Jones has managed to gain only 285 yards on 94 carries for an average of 3.0 yards per carry. In those 5 games he also had 0 TD’s to boot. <st1:City><st1lace>San Diego</st1lace></st1:City> has no letdown this week, as they will not look to keep this one close. <st1:City><st1lace>San Diego</st1lace></st1:City> pulls away in the 3rd quarter and wins by double digits here.

Mac Picks: San Diego -8.5<o></o>
