Week 1 Upset: UCLA over Texas A&M

Josh Rosen is the best NFL prospect and top 2 college QB currently. Expect the Bruins to ground and pound then Rosen to air it out for the win.

I agree Mango I think UCLA wins this game. I was going to play this but held back for I have another play that I like a bit better ..

The only reason UCLA doesnt win as you say is if they can't handle the crazy first game at A&M. That place will be rocking and will cause some major stress but UCLA should be able to fight through it. They have the experience in key areas

Looks like the public was right on the money.


Some thoughts on the game:

Rosen hasn't looked like a Heisman candidate or the #1 NFL prospect. He's missed several wide open receivers that would've been big plays or TDs. Sure, he's been pressured all game but he still has to make those throws. That underhanded toss for an INT was uncharacteristically dumb also. Just missed a long wide open TD throw.

Coach Mora made a boneheaded mistake just prior to halftime that cost them 3 points and probably the momentum.

Refs didn't call an obvious late hit on A&M that could have prolonged the drive and led to a score. But home cooking is nothing new.

Thought UCLA could win the PAC-12 but looks like that was a pipe dream.

And then A&M starts playing conservatively allowing Rosen time to find open guys. Going to be a fun final 2 minutes.
