Gelding is making his 7th career start in this MDCL race of 5.5 furlongs. About half the field is 1st time starters and they rarley win in MD claiming races but win all the time in straight madien fields. Horse has shown some early speed and shortens up from 6.5 F to 5.5 F which I think will help this horse a ton. No other horse in this race has consistently shown early speed which give this one a chance to wire the field or sit just off the pace. Remember early speed does very well in Maiden claiming races. Big jockey switch as M. Baze jumps on board. Texas Devil has the all important race over this track about a month ago. Recently the #12 and #13 are the only ones with a race over this track and I figure them to be non contenders. Think the connections are spotting him here in a winning spot.
