UCLA will be an Elite 8 team and an outside chance at Final 4 depending on their draw. Wazzu shot 58.8%. When a team is hitting basically everything and you are a choked missed lay-up away from beating them, you can't worry too much. Howland is one of the best tournament coaches around.

Rochestie was a one man show this afternoon. That was as clutch a performance on the road as I have seen this year. When a team, who plays a style like Wazzu, shoots that well you are lucky to be within 10.

I counted 6 50/50 calls or loose balls in the last 2 minutes and all of them went Wazzu's way. A great win for their program, but no need to count out UCLA. This loss and a likely 1st/2nd round loss in Pac-10 tourney will provide some amazing value on UCLA in the first 2 rounds of NCAAs

You want to also discuss the 11 team fouls for WSU while UCLA only got tagged for 4? Baynes had 2 phantom calls called on him in the first half that could have really cost us.

UCLA lost this game with the missed layups, and that stretch in the 2nd half where they were doing nothing on offense and just jacking up contested 3's. They waited until they were down 8 to attack the rim.
