for this year's election, found something posted by the Huffington Post. Of course, Obama won every Demographic by their sources. When you extrapolate the margin of victory using the margin of victory by demographic multiplied by the % of total population for each demographic, Obama won by double digits.

Fucking idiots all the way to their grave

I saw the same shit...how is the popular vote 52/48 and he won every demo?

That being said, he won an overwhelming vote of the blacks, muslims, fags and poor.

So, just how is it he won every other category? Impossible!

He won, there is no debate. 95-4 black vote is hard to overcome.

I'm looking for some good demographic breakdown, and the press is still presenting more bullshit, that's my problem.

Even looking at CNN's various demographic breakdown, the lowest margin of victory such breakdowns arrive at (the 5 or 6 I tested) is 7.9%. Obama won by 6.5%, so that demographic analysis only overstated Obama's support by 22%.

One breakdown had Obama winning (via extrapolation) by 10.3 %, overstating the margin of victory by 59%.

So I can only conclude such analysis is not very reliable.

Well, that demographic is dominated by teachers, who are very much opposed to school choice options. Lawyers are probably the second largest post grad degree, and they too have their own interests at heart, no restraints on litigation.

In the business world, where jobs are created and not talked about, conservatism usually prevails.

How about (the income demographic was the one I tested that came to only a 22% overstatement of support for Obama)

< 15k 73-25 Obama
< 30k 60-37 Obama

or No High School 63-35 Obama

PS: just tested CNN's education demographic, Obama wins by 7.2 %. A mere overstatement of 11%, that's as good as it gets.:103631605

CNN has it at 13% this year. That's 16,000,000 votes giving Obama a 14,500,000 vote plurality. Meaning McCain won all other demographics combined by 6,500,000 votes.

Pick on someone your own size, dipshit :103631605

How do you explain that, Willie?

And as to the supposed overstating of Obama's win - almost all demographics I checked had Obama winning by less than 7.5%, meaning the deviation was less than one percentage point. This is well within the margin of error, especially considering that the statistics use only rounded fractions and the 'other/no reply' category is larger than the percentage the independent candidates achieved. If you really try to use these deviations to discredit the poll results you are making yourself ridiculous.

whats amazing, obama a black candidate did better then any candidate in terms of whites voting for him in recent history. 43 is a very impressive number.

black and latino team-up killed mccain and whites were close to a split. that united white voting bloc gas man was hoping for is dead.

How do I explain > 200K 52-46 Obama? he won that demographic, based on polling data. My guess is that the sample size for the over 200k demographic is probably pretty small. Hey, maybe they polled entertainers!!

As for Obama winning by 7.5%, that only represents a 16% overstatement :103631605, good stuff

This is all you can think of? I can still hear all the whining from the righties about how all those hard-working people in the $250,000+ tax bracket will be killed by Obama. Apparently they didn't share your fears...

I'm sorry, but when a poll predicts Obama 53.2% - McCain 45.5% and the actual result comes in Obama 52.7% - McCain 46.0% then this is amply good enough for everyone except those who are still bitter because their candidate lost and are determined to find fault in everything connected with the election.
Lighten up, Willie, and just try to accept the things as they are, it's not that hard. :)

Listen Farter, I am not saying Obama is or will be the answer, but I know McStain and Sarah Failin' were not the choices so I will give Obama a chance and wait and see.
