This is ridiculous, wouldnt the top 4 teams be the teams with the best 4 records?

If you mean what teams I truly feel are the best 4 in the league. Then

San Diego
Washington
New York Giants
Dallas

Not so ridiculous MAC, a good record is not an indication of the greatest team... we found out that Records don't matter because seeing NYG here in your top 4--where do you rank CLEVELAND? What's ridiculous is you have DALLAS :X lol. Best record? Nearly lost to Cincy?

FLAVA> This is just a team AS OF NOW, and SD can be recognized... later on--maybe not.

In Order:

Titans
Buccaneeers
Bears
Eagles

A surprise TENN team may not warrant a top spot--but a surprise TENN team who went 5-0 does.

titans
skins
cardinals---->replaced by Bucs after second thoughts
colts

I have to take titans as my undisputed number one team. they have managed to stay disciplined, played basic but great football, have great coaching and also have far better depth at the d-line position where i originally thought that they were tied with the giants. Giants have proven to be very shallow at that position and will suffer more in the future with that thin line.

Skins had a bad hiccup when they took a lousy rams team lightly and it cost them. This is why i have the titans over them because Fisher hasnt yet let his team have a game where they have overlooked a lousy opponent.

Cardinals are looking good with many weapons available. But their defense is down right awful. (matter of fact i am removing them from my list. What the hell was i thinking?) And please dont give me crap about how they beat the shit out of Romo. His offensive line is horrible. Cardinals offensive line is also awful. I am predicting right here right now that Warner will not finish the season. What the hell was i thinking? (total over reaction to a great win against the grossly overated cowboys) BTw.. i did predict last week that the boys would lose to the cardinals.

Colts, they seem to be back. The game vs the greenbay will be also as deceptive as their win over the ravens. Greenbay's defense is god awful. Jeez they suck on defense. They should be down to their 3rd string safety.

Colts should get an easy win then we shall see exactly how good the titans are on monday night in two weeks.

Teams excluded from consideration.

Sandiego. complete fraud of a team. They have no running game. (yes i said it..) Take lt out and start sproles then i will consider you for the 5th spot. They also dont have a any defense worth noting! Picked apart by Cutler. They have given up close to 85 points in their first 3 games. Have only beaten patriots, Raiders and the stinking jets.. Are you freakin kidding me? The chargers? Yeah right... (did some one say they would bump this thread around january? i really wanna see that.)

Giants, are too thin on d-line and defense overall. They lack the ability to make the run. Manning once bothered can make still make horrendous mistakes. Play calling is also suspect. This team should be run first team. They are falling in love with the deep ball and are making bad mistakes.
The team has the tools to be a complete ball control team that scores on 14+ play drives. But they kill that option by mixing in a 40+ pass play on ever single series on offense.

Dallas was definately left out. Brad johnson may have a chance to lead this team. Unfortunately for him he lacks the coaching to prosper. For him to do well, the team would have to run the ball at a 2-1 ratio to passing.
That theory is dead in the water with the acquisition of Williams who now has to share the ball with TO. Brad johnson is going to be thrown in the shark infested waters of a passing game and the cowboys will suffer for this. (one also has to consider that the OC may be backstabbing Wade phillips. Even if he is getting paid more than the coach, the last thing he wants to do is lead the team to a superbowl with that idiot coach at the helm) He wants to take over this team as the coach.

Bears...well they are the bears!

Bills, i am definately not sold. Lossman may suprise, but i dont like his o-line and the defense sucks without the lazy M. Stroud.

I agree that the Cards should be given a spot at least in the top 5 or 6. I have the EAGLES/BEARS/CARDS in a sort of tight race.

Methinks who is "best right now" means absolutely NOTHING :nohead:

P.S. Losman is not the QB for the Bills, the Redskins are more like the team that lost to the Rams than beat the Cowboys, the Cowboys will still be 11-5 or 12-4 and win the East, and the Cardinals are, well, the Cardinals.

Give the cards a decent o-line and they would be a force to contend with.
But there is no way in hell. (this is why i am willing to bet any one who will take it) that Kurt warner will finish the season intact. The man takes way too many hits..(by that i mean too many times, defensive players contact him and batter his old body) This is the exact same reason, Romo is out for 4 weeks. I strongly believe in picking teams by their offensive lines. look for QBs who dont often have blood, mud, paint and grass stains on their jerseys for great finishers.

Cardinals looked great beating that cowboys team. Only bad gamblers could forget how bad they looked giving up 56 to the jets.

Right now, i consider them top 6.. But that hinges on how long warner can take that beating. My feeling is that he will be injured in the next 4 games.
