Warning CBS stats are wrong !

Be careful looking at CBS sportsline MLB stats while capping today. They show the era of last game pitched and season era being the same for every pitcher.

It looked funny to me. I could see it being true for one particular pitcher, but not all of them. I look at many stats sites, this one just moved to the bottom.

Somebody could lose a lot basing bets on faulty stats ! I could see an inexperienced guy taking a quick glance there and betting. He'd never even know it was wrong.

I have not used cbssportsline since they had incorrect final scores during the ncaa conference tourneys and big dance.

I use them for baseball SCORES, I'm used to their format and it's quick matches a televised game almost instantly, usually.

Doug, the pitchers line showing their last start on CBS.com has been off all year long. I have learned to disregard it and go directly to their complete game log.

It's often not even there ! CBS is pretty pathetic !

I never use the site because you just can't trust what they put up. There have been many threads about CBS putting up bad info.

If you can't trust their info, why bother?

what's worse, a friend of mine, actually a poster here, his local paper had all the wrong stats for pitchers the other day.....not the first time it happened, though he'll say it was......that's sad....
