WARNING...Bovada about to screw me on the Ark St vs. Go Southern game

I placed live bets with Bovada on the Ark st vs. Geo Southern early in the 2nd Q when the score was 3-3. The wagers were Ark St -7.5, game over 45.5, and Ark St TT over 27.5. there are turnovers and scores and my bets look GREAT and after about 30 minutes, then Bovada cancels the bets.

So I chat them live and they cannot explain why the bets were canceled but said they'll let me know within 24 hrs...yes, they'll let me know after the outcome of the game. So waiting on their response.

The game isn't over yet but I would have won at very least will win 2 of 3 if not 3 of 3

Maybe Bovada will make it right? However, I have a bad feeling that I'm about to get screwed because they get to make the decision after the outcome of the game. Anyone else having this problem? If so, what can I do?

I was following their live line and they took it off the board early in the second quarter. I found that to be curious. I hope they make it right. Please let us know how it goes.

Keep in mind the live bets were placed at separate times in about a 15 minute span. and about 20 minutes leter, a few turnovers, and a few TDs, after I placed my wagers, they took all live betting for the game off of the board. After that, then they canceled my bets.

The live lines were correct because I was playing other books as well and they kept the bets. Plus, bovada accepted the wagers.

now that the game is over, I would've won all of the bets. Still waiting to hear back from Bovada. About to go on vacation but I'll let everyone know when I hear back from them.

That sounds like some serious bs. Hope they make it right. Use them sometimes, but don't like the way they shade the lines. On Sunday, I had Washington +7(-110) and my buddy had +7.5(think it was around -110 as well). Weird how they are allowed to do that.

Still no response from bovada and wagers are still canceled. Luckily, it was only about $125 but it’s the principle of the matter. I’m definitely going to withdraw the rest of the funds and never play there again knowing they’ll just cancel your bet once they can tell the game changes in your favor. There is no excuse for this. How can a book cancel wagers during the middle of a game after clearly being accepted?? I’m sure they’ll claim there was some error or something but I was on other sites and the line was current and right. I’m other words, they weren’t bad lines.

Therx, sorry for the rant as I realize bovada is a sponsor here but they fucked me really good. It’s not a lot of money but I don’t like getting burnt. Anyway, those of you out there on bovada should be careful. Go somewhere where they won’t cancel your bet once it’s obvious that you have a winner.

You'll never find a book that won't have a problem now and then with live lines. The margin of error is too great and anybody betting live lines habitually will know they have to accept some level of the instability. It's tough to diagnose these live lines after the fact, but if they cancelled the wagers right away it's probably because the "takedown" didn't work and the line stayed up when it should have been higher, of course I'm saying that knowing nothing about their software nor how they manage live lines. I just did a quick check of a few books that publish live lines and from what I see, 7.5 was not a line offered at any point in the second quarter.

if you want us to fully accept your scenario and expect therxforum to confront the sponsor simply take print screens of the live bet lines, with time accepted, from both bovada and the other books. Don't post them here as it has account numbers on it but email them to BAS or Reno because they can help get this corrected

If however you snagged -7.5 when AS got the turnover and happened to notice they left the -7.5 and TT 27.5 up too long then you could have expected this action

Thanks for your input. I’m out of town now but have no problem screen shooting the wagers.

I got the Ark St -7.5 and to over 27.5 way before the turnover. I placed the wagers when is was shortly into the 2nd quarter and the score was 3-3.

Just got an email from bovada and they said they canceled my wagers because there was an “obvious line error”

How can you past post on a live wager??? I had 5 dimes cancel my bet one time on a HS game i loaded up on that was clearly played the day before. IMO if they leave the line up it isn't my fault, but much different scenario as I knew the game had been played. LOL

When I was live chatting them, they had no answer. Then they say it was late, then they say obvious line error.

Again, sorry for the rant. Never had this happen and it pisses me off.

wow man that sucks. you put a line up, wrong or not isnt my problem. i havnt used an online book in years, got a local and go with him. dont get as much plays as i would like but definitely dont deal with this bullshit. wish you could find someone who took the other side of those and lost and bovada still took their $.

I've seen bovada and 5d keep soccer lines up while one team is lining up for a penalty kick. if you bet it they will cancel it. remember that these companies don't have some dude sitting around pulling lines...it is an outsourced service so if bovada's provider tells them it should be canceled, they cancel it.

these are all just the canceled wagers from bovada. i was saying that if you have identical wagers, with similar time stamp, from another bookie (as you suggested) that could get them to reverse your cancellation otherwise you have no chance at having this reversed ... it's an outsourced service so whatever service they used is canceling wagers in this time frame for, likely, many books
