8 wins seems about right. We are dealing with a team that upset Ohio State and Duke last season, but lost to East Carolina and Wake Forest. El Paso.

i did an analysis of the few power polls that specifically grade all 130 teams (exact number?) with real analysis for this coming season and VT came out #1 most improved (power rating score vs. last year)

Virginia Tech will have one heck of a defense...best in the ACC.

The defense has 4 players on the All-ACC pre-season first team and two more on the All-ACC second team.

Ohio State better be ready when they travel to Blacksburg for the opener!

Clover my friend, we are talking about an Ohio State team bent on revenge against a ACC team. Ohio State has way too much talent for VA. Tech, no matter how good their defense compares to other ACC defenses.

I agree. Crossover games at Boston College and home to N.C. State are not the toughest assignments around. Add on non-con wins at Purdue and East Carolina, plus Furman at home, and a conference win at Virginia, you have 6 wins. I think they can find two more to hit the number.

I like the Over...VT will have one of the best defenses in the country. tOSU is in for a dogfight. I could care less about the revenge angle. Winning and covering are two different stories.

I to like VT over. Got over 7'-155 from my local a while back and also +325 to win acc coastal. Not only do they avoid the ACC big boys but they get GT after a bye which is huge to give them time to prep for that unique offense. Although I probably wouldn't play them at the current #'s.
