On Nov. 11, the country honors all the men and women who have served in the armed forces. Veteran's Day is Americas way of saying thank you to the men in women who have served their country in the time of war.

Thankyou to all our veterans everywhere.

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Very nice ....

I just 15-1 @ Pinnacle that Karl Rove, Jr - aka bblight - will spoil the moment by mentioning this honor does not apply to John Kerry

Days like these are why when I hear guys like Cheney yap away negatively about someone that was brave enough to fight for this country that I really get pissed

Hope Bush does the right thing and get our kids out of Iraq as soon as possible

Thanks Wil, Thanks Eek.

Eek, I was wondering if you ever heard Big Head Todd's song version of Flanders Field - I think he was fairly true to the poem.
