Heading out to Vegas for a weekend the first weekend on November and I looked at the weather for today and i was shocked, its colder there than it is in Illinois!

We are supposed to have highs near 80 on thursday and i saw 65 for Vegas. Is this normal for this time of year? Or just a cold snap. i was hoping to check out the Mandalay bay beach, but not if its in the 60's...any help locals?

November can get a tad chilly at night, especially if breezy, and you can expect to see lows around 50 degrees with highs topping out at around 79 for the day.

I have always said that OCTOBER and MARCH are the perfect weather months in Vegas.

However, November overall is very nice and confortable.

Be sure to bring a light jacket though.

Have fun!

The National Weather Service lists the average high to be 68 and the low to be around 44 in November.

If you are planning on visiting in the first couple weeks of the month, would anticipate these figures to be a tad higher on both ends.

Thanks Fish!

My buddy loves to play NL holdem, anywhere I can direct him to in particular?

I will surely be checking out the Olympic Gardens, no wife with me on this visit, only the guys!

Got to head to Tony Roma's and Ruth's Chris too while out there, El Pollo Loco for a lunch treat too.

Vegas has a variety of NO LIMIT holdem tourneys on a daily basis.

The GOLDEN NUGGET and THE ORLEANS would be good for starters.

Pick up a copy of the CARDPLAYER magazine at most Vegas pokerrooms and in the back they list all the daily tournaments around town.

Strip bars in Vegas highly overrated and overpriced. 6ft rule and 20 a dance with a touch and you go policy. It does get cold at night in Vegas. Definely need a jacket. You are inside 99% of time thogh.. You can be in the snow faster in Vegas vs Denver. Downhill skiing 45 minutes away at Mt Charleston. My fav spot in Vegas.

No 6ft rule at the Spearmint Rhino. I was just out there 2 weeks ago and for $20 they were all over you and more "hands on" than I would have thought. :manwh: Go on a weeknight...weekends too crowded. Hold onto your wallet though...those little nymphs will try and milk you for all of your cash and watch the :drink: or they may succeed.

Vol- Thumbs up to the Rhino! Best strip club in Vegas hands down. So good in fact you would almost think that you were in Miami.

Basically no rules the last time I was at the Olympic Gardens in May either...seen nipples being touched and just about everything short of a BJ right on the floor!

November is a great weather month. I love playing golf out there in November. Need a jacket on occassion and that it usually warms nicely. It gets dark early so you can be at a table early in the evening trying to get a little tip money for the dinner bill.

I always want to prop our buddy Green Doberman- the IP has No Limit tournament frequently. Its a good room, well run and they take pretty good care of the players. Cardplayer has the schedule.

I really think the nicest new poker room is Golden Nugget, great history and great room. Of course Bellagio has plenty of action until Wynn Las Vegas opens.

The best strip joint in Vegas by far is the Crazy Horse II:sofabck especially if you go into the VIP room!
