It sure appears so...

More on this later...

I wonder what the new owner (s) have in mind as this used to be THE premiere place for gamblers to check out...

You may already know this Shrink, but CBS Sportsline is getting some investment and partnership with the NCAA to run the official NCAA championship website. Part of the deal was that they had to give up anything to do with gambling so they sold VegasInsider which also owns Las Vegas Sports Consultants.

I understand that it will be business as usual at VI...

Here's an article:

David

p.s. By the way, I played 30-60 Hold 'Em with Mike Levy, the CEO of Sportsline... very interesting story about how they got where they are now.

David,

The article you are referring to was written in FEBRUARY...

There have been more layoffs than normal lately within their organization, and I predict it is because there is new leadership coming aboard VERY SOON...

I remember the original press release from Sportsline when they cut the deal with the NCAA. The terms that were announced by the company said they were going to "retire" the Vegas Insider site. I never thought that meant selling it.

the name alone of the site is worth serious $$$$ and the site itself right now has some good traffic as well.

Didn't Wayne Root buy Vegas Insider? I hope not then my phone will start ringing with the annoying Scandicappers calling

The site vegasinsider.com was a pioneer and one of the better sports/handicapping sites out there-

Anyone no who was let go?? I don't see Russ Culver Mike Lee or Nover's plays on there anymore

VI has been bought. The new buyer remains a mystery for now. But it's not Shrink, Don Best or Covers. The new buyer already has ordered five people fired, including several loyal and long-standing employees along with handicapper Ken White. This is an ominious sign since VI had been getting by with a skeleton crew as it was.

VI doesn't bring much to the table. One of 704 linehandicappingstatsscorenewspick sites. LVSC, now that's another story. They actually do contribute a lot to our corner of the world. LVSC/CSW are under the VI umbrella. Lets see how that plays out....ScottyS

LOL. Good line. In all seriousness, though, the way VI has evolved they could have used someone with Shrink's humanity.

stephen, thanks for the insight- weren't you a VegasInsider a while back- Nover keep up the good articles-

Seems like VegasInsider has lost a lot of there names ike Culver, Lee, and now you say Ken White is gone-

maybe Culver bought it bak didn't he start the site-

Maybe they will pay the Shrink to take it

TTinco- I think you may be right Root and Vegas Insider announced a deal last year andthey sell his picks onthere site- and Root has BIG $$ so it makes sense that he would be the guy to do so- and the guys that VI had probably couldn't stand that Root was a part of VI so they bailed i.e Mike Lee who is with Jim Feist.com- another credible sports "expert"
