Vegas 80 ~ Early Prelims

  • 3/1.58 Nurullo Aliev -190
  • 2/3.70 Aliev Wins Inside Distance +185
  • 3/1.96 CARL DEATON vs JOE SOLECKI o1½ -153
  • 3.42/2 CHARLES JOHNSON -171
JO9eY9w.jpg

  • Alves ITD...Aliev is a relentless chain wrestler with a smothering top game, with tools needed to neutralize his opponent's counter-striking game.
  • Solecki ...Solecki has improved since his loss to Jared Gordon loss with a close-fought but decisive victory over Alex da Silva. His ceiling is limited by average athleticism but he remains an effective, controlling wrestler with a surprising sub-game.
  • Johnson ...Osbourne does bring surprising power for the weight class, but his wild style and propensity for spinning strikes work against his reach advantage and leave him vulnerable to counters. Johnson is a conservative striker with a granite chin who waits and picks his spots..there should be several openings for him to exploit

[2-2 -1.88u]

  • 3/2.00 TREVOR PEEK KO,TKO,DQ,SUB -150
  • 1/1.50 TREVOR PEEK IN ROUND 1 +150

  • Peek KO ...Peek's riding a perfect KO streak on the regional scene and although Gonzales represents a step-up in comp...he lacks the necessary tools to avoid an outside battle.

Wow, loved how that hick stayed after it till the end and got the KO VIDEO

Now on to the Main Card

[4-2 +1.62u]
  • 2.16/4 YOHAN LAINESSE +185
  • 2/1.67 YOHAN LAINESSE vs MIKE MALOTT u1½ -120

  • Lainesse Early Finish ...Mallot's a finisher, but with poor defense...an area likely detrimental vs the heavy-handed Yohan Lainesse (9-1). If the White Lion is to win it will be early.
  • Suarez Decision ...After three years off...Suarez (8-0) returns as -800 chalk -SMH No Thanks

Wow, Mallot looked very good, technical, physical, and smart... may be a rising star to keep an eye on.

[4-4 -2.54u]
  • 3.15/3 Augusto Sakai -105
  • 3/1.40 Andre Muniz -214
  • 2.30/2 Muniz Wins Inside Distance -115
I'm just gonna get a sandwich during this next fight lol

  • Sakai ...Sakai has suffered 4 straight stoppage losses but versus some top contenders. At one point Sakai was a hot prospect and he moves very well for a beast of his size. Likely a slow boring decision.
  • Muniz Sub ... What else from the MW submission machine. This is his biggest fight to date and an impressive finish over Allen could draw some title talk. Allen won 3 times in 22 including a questionable decision win over Malkoun. His gas tank and poor footwork remain red flags against elite UFC talent. Muniz is a physically imposing wrestler that may wear down Allen and eventually find his sub in the 2nd half of the fight. This is your main event but will be only 3 rounds.
