Not me.
When's the last time USC failed to blow out a big OOC opponent since Pete Carroll got the HC job? (6-7 years) Especially at the Coliseum.
I can think of once. UT in the NC game but it took a last minute score and it took a guy named Vince Young to pull it off.
Can you name another example?
WHo have they played as good as Ohio State? Who have they played at all OOC as of late?
USC offense is inexperienced right?
Thanks for the feeback. Appreciate it Conan.
Tom,
They've played Notre Dame every year and that includes fairly recent years when ND was top 10. They also beat Auburn when they won the SEC East. You know about the rest who were good but not as great, but schedules being as they are, that's just the way it sized up.
To me it's not just who they beat, but the way they beat them. I'm not talking about close games, even close road games for USC. That counts. It's the best we got to compare. Could have been better but I doubt that USC could have played much better with what we have to judge them by.
As far as recruiting goes, I don't think you can compare even OSU to USC. OSU has plenty of good if not great athletes, but USC has that plus more depth at nearly every position.

I would like to know what all the USC confidence is based on, UVA?
They are not going to win 5 games.
USC lost to Stanford because they sleepwalked through the game and Booty gave up 4 picks after he broke a finger on his throwing hand. That was purely a bad coaching decision. Sh*t happens.OSU's struggle vs OU. Didn't USC lose to Stanford? Everyone has a bad game, but to write of a team many thought would play in the NC game because of a lackluster performance and because USC beat up a patsy, is stupid.
I am basing it on 6 years worth of dominance in almost every game and situation. I am basing it on the fact that USC's defense is likely the best D in the country. I am basing it on the play of Sanchez in his first start (on the road) and his OL and RB's. Probably 3 legit Heisman candidates right there.

OK so as far as this year goes, USC clocked their opponent, granted not a very good one but still a BCS school in their own back yard. They did exactly what a great team would be expected to do. They overwhelmed them.
OSU struggeled with a D1-AA opponent. A bigger patsy than UVA. I see no logic in your arguments but you could be right anyway because sh*t happens. Are you counting on it?
