USC -2.5 verse B.C.??? Really?

First, I'm an SC alum and proud Trojan. I'm HYPED that they fought through the Pac 10 Tourney and made the big dance. But, when I saw Boston College come up as SC's first round matchup I thought...."oh hell, a team with size up front and a guard who can drain it". My Trojans have one good player down low....Taj Gibson (yes, the freshman DeMar DeRozan can fill it up, but he's a 3......not a 4). Taj is a great shot blocker, and a warrior.....but is only 6-9 and not a wide body. Also, Taj often gets in early foul trouble.

Anyway, I realize that SC is hot right now, but I think B.C. is a very tough matchup for the Trojans.

Thoughts?

IMO USC makes it to the sweet 16 rather easily....BC will be a much tougher game for them than Michigan State (USC by 5 vs bc and USC by 11 vs. Mich State....Probably good to be a trojan fan....at least for the first week of this thing.....

couldnt agree more with the previous 2 posters....USC is headed to the sweet 16....hackett is a lock down defender if he takes away tyrese rice...BC is in big time trouble....USC is very talented and very athletic and they are playing there best ball at the right time of the year...USC -2 is looking veryyy nice :toast:

I don't have a boner for the pac 10.

USC is playing well,..but BC can be the one winning two games, not USC.

BC isn't very flashy but more then capable with some nice wins this year

SC alum here as well. love them at -2 in the first round here.

and then take MSU for all the marbles in round 2

I didn't see USC locking down all the Cal guards, and UCLA just was out of it and ASU didn't show in the second half. They got fired up and had a nice run but three games does not a team make.
