2 bets for tonight so far:

USC +11 (buying 3pts)
Oregon beat USC at USC by 18 points in what was USC's first conference game after a weak non conference schedule. USC posted a pitiful 5-4 non conference record and it looked like it was all over after that oregon loss. But over the last few games USC has shown their muster and Oregon has not been doing so great.

HOWEVER Craven is out for this game and I can see oregon being pissed after having lost their last 4 games - also this is senior night for oregon...

http://news.statesmanjournal.com/article.cfm?i=76402
"USC junior guards Errick and Derrick Craven each will serve a one-game suspension this week for their involvement in two separate incidents in USC’s home game Feb. 21 against California. Errick will miss tonight’s game and Derrick won’t play Saturday at Oregon State.
“When you lose one of those kids you take a big part of what you’re doing out of the lineup,” USC coach Henry Bibby said. “But it’s a great opportunity for other kids to step up and play.”"

Still I think USC has the confidence going for them now required to keep this one within 10. WARNING I must be honest I didnt read about this craven suspension until after I placed the bet - and if I had read it I probably would have laid off it. But that doesnt change the basic premise of my bet - USC as a team is on a roll and should keep it close. So theres my warning - bet it if you dare.

AND

as I mentioned last night I'm due for a loss so I might as well get it over with with something fun-

Notre Dame -4
USC +13
Washington U -2
Stanford -4.5
UCLA +8

I just looked again at USC's depth and i'm getting really nervous about this bet... Eric Craven is their 3rd leading scorer. I wonder if its worth a hedge.

yep I hit it !

It was Illinois/SJ/Kansas/KY

Maybe you're right about that - I might not hedge...

The statement the coach made did give me some confidence - like he's got someone on the bench who is hot or something

"coach Henry Bibby said. “But it’s a great opportunity for other kids to step up and play.”"

either that or he figures this game is a lost cause...

oh well

I think I'll stick with it.

Looking at Notre Dame...

Its a lot of points for me but I may go with it anyway. Can't see Georgetown spoiling senior night.

Buying 3 pts in a college basketball game ?

A -450 moneyline ?

Stanford on moneyline ?

I was always wondering how many people out there actually play those big favs. However, I can't believe someone who registered here in 2001 does that. You should know better buddy.

Good luck.

I take it back, partially

I did get my loss on the +350 teaser that I was
"due" to lose

and it was well worth it to me and fun too

if you cant have fun once and a while then thats your own problem so dont foul up my threads with it... I always keep it positive and I intend to continue to do so - and that is the most valuable lesson I feel ive learned here having been posting here since 2001.
