Killing your enemies will shield you from their terror. Bush realized after 9/11 that the status quo was not acceptable, Obama can't remember that far back. Bush's attempt to implement democratic governments in the middle east is the only way to change their culture of hate. You have to replace despair and hopelessness with freedom and opportunity, and it's a long process.

Ya Guantanamo is a mess, whatever that means, so we’ll hold then indefinitely in US "super-max" jails. There you go, problem solved.

Exactly, at some point "change" wouldn't work, he'd actually have to do something, at some point, he couldn't just be opposite of " the bush administration", if he said stuff, he has to back it up ( and he hasn't). He's been a joke and so have the cronies/non tax payers in his administration. I've already heard/read tons of people say how they voted for him and made a big mistake.

America's actions do not increase recruitment for radical murderers. It is what we stand for and who we are.

And it's the culture and brutal oppression these societies live under that breeds terrorism.

Terrorism is not a reaction to imposed values. Terrorism is an action to impose values.
