Are you positive? Both companies offer the pearl....
im talking about unlocking the phone (the name of the topic)you guys know not of what you speak...verizon phones run on a cdma network...no IMEI and no SIM card...ATT runs off GSM network, entirely different networks and technologies and different insides on the phones....but for laughs, call att and tell them what you wanna do, after the guy laughs at you you can order a new phone
im talking about unlocking the phone (the name of the topic)
perhaps ace can goto t-mobile if he wishes
im talking about how to unlock the phone (as the search clearly states)
thanks though lol ope:
jus sell ur blackberry pearl on ebay/craigslist and sign up for new one with ATT.....u will get a good deal by doing a contract...etc
prolly will sell ur pearl for 50-100$ ...100 selling right now used for in that range depending on condition.
then on ATT site u can get a new/refurb one for 99$ new and 69$ refurb.
so u may be able to MAKE money depending on how u sell/buy and wether u go refurb or not.
you cant 'unlock' a cdma phone from verizon, they arent 'locked' there's nothing to 'lock' its a term not used with the type of phone....verizon phones can only be used on verizons network....unless you flash the rom in the phone, at which point you 'might' be able to use it on cricket's network...no where else....i know all about this...t mobile is gsm, wont work there either....
Geoff if I wanted to give my iPhone 3G to someone else on my plan could I do that with switching the sim card? I tried it and it didn't work... do I need to contact ATT first?
you still dont get it, but jesus loves you
ope:ope:ope:ope:
you do have to contact the att... and to answer original poster's question, you can not switch verizon phone to be used at ATT ot T-mobile. Like someone already mentioned, two different technologies. go check it out at www.howardforums.comThat one, Im not sure about, the Iphone is kind of an odd duck in the cell phone world...your question would probably be best addressed through ATT tech support ;-)
