There will be many games we lose this season which we will consider "Bad-Beats".

But none are worse than playing an under on an NBA total that looks like an easy winner, only to go into overtime & then go over, suddenly turning a winner into a loser.

I thought it would be interesting to post those UNDER LOSERS in here so we can compare the difference in the opposite thread,
OVER WINNERS Which we actually WON because of overtime!

Thanks guys & best of luck guys!

The season just began and I already have one.

Tuesday night I played......

3Units: Charlotte/NY Knicks U195 (110)

Only 164 points were scored with under 1minute left.
Looked like it was going to finish well under.
Went to overtime, but STILL, only 12 points had been scored with both teams still having a chance to win it & 176 points total & still well under.
Nope....On to a 2nd OT! They go on to score 26 points in that 2nd OT turning putting it over.....^<<^

This was a devastating loss. If your going to take a positive out of it, you can say we nailed the under dead on. just a terrible break they had to play 58 minutes. if we knew that, we would have played the over.

Not only because of the ot, but how about all those times when the under looks really, really, good and teams start the fouling brigade. What gets me most is when they foul with under 10 seconds to go and their already down more than 6!!!

Or the next worst beat, the scrubs come in and want to score at the end of the game instead of dribbling out the last possession.

The dangers of betting totals work both ways as we all already know.

I know what ya mean United.

Shoot, I've been in and seen situations many times where a teams is down 12, 14, or more points, with only a minute or less left, and they keep on fouling & fouling & fouling as if they STILL think they have a shot at pulling of that all time greatest comeback ever.....

Hate playing unders when two teams seem close in quality just because of that fact! Of course I've lost several plays that way. Our local book offers totals without OT so I usually use them for unders. (Overs on the other hand were safed same way ;) )

I seem to recall that some books used to call Unders that went Over in overtime were scored as a push. But maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part.
