uconn 75 to 1 to win tonight!

I have a buddy that bet uconn early in the tournament at 75 to 1 on a 100$ bet to win it all. what would you guys do. obviously betting the other side is a smart bet but how much? 2K? 3K? just wondering what others would do.

I see this game as a coin toss. If it were me, I'd put $3500 on Kentucky. Not a bad return either way on a $75 investment.

Usually hedge with half the potential bet. So in his position, I would bet about 3750 that way you are walking away with a nice chump of change regardless.

if he could bet a 100.00 spot on them way back then why wouldn't he ride it out now.
i personally would buy Kent down to a pick and bet a 1/4 of it for sure money.

i'd probably do ML 1500/1000 on UK and take 6k payout on the main bet. at worst snag your 990 ... nice spot to be in

funny i remember on the espn insider site one of the jagoff writers picked Kentucky before the tourney based on their talent and getting seeded with the false #1 plus not being intimidated by Lville and getting really the weakest #2 as well. i should have listened...

yeah I wish I was in his spot tonight! it would be amazing to let it ride and have uconn pull it out. a huge disappointment it they lose in a close one! tough choice but nice to be guaranteed a nice payday with the ball in his court.

I have uconn as well to win the tourney for 7900 I'm gonna bet Kentucky at half time if uconn is winning which Kentucky had lost all first halves

I may put a huge moneyline parlay on Kentucky and leave a open slot

with the low ML odds you are better off doing the one-game hedge than a 2-team one-leg open ML parlay.
