For those that know about Vegas what is the minimum and maximum bet size for straight bets on baseball games?

Also--do they allow higher limits for World Series Games?

Is there such a thing as typical on bet minimum and maximum bet sizes are do they vary greatly from book to book?

(not interested in football or basketball bet size).

Thanks.

5 dimes at some, 1 or 2 at the smaller places. 1 dime on totals in bigger places, as low as $200 at the smaller joints that live in fear. World Series I am not sure, could be more but then again some books are just happy to make something on bases they might try to lock in some profit and not up the limits.

Remember these are merely posted limits. You can usually bang it as much as you want if you can take the adjustments they make. And if they think nothing of you or you have a big credit limit they will certainly take more in the bigger joints.

After beating my head against a brick wall in foots and hoops just about the entire length of my time at gambling, I have finally figured a baseball system that shows a profit for the last three years (on paper).
Baseball is much more predictible in the long run, whereas in football they play only a few games each and in buckets-(no hope whatsoever). I can see why they don't like bases.

Good luck. I think bases is far less predictable over a similar stretch of games by a long way. Its not even close. What saves bases is that you get a lot of volume that adds up, but if you put a streak of say 30 games in a row bases and other sports you will almost always be able to make solid predictions that come true for the other sports. You can spot likely strengths and weaknesses in football or basketball, but can you say the same for bases? Guys pitch 2 months of 2.00 ERA and 5-1 record, now the price reflects it and the guy is gone in the 3rd. Happens all the time, both good and bad. Or the defense that is best in the league makes 2 errors that lead to 3 unearned runs. Could you call that? You are kidding yourself Oldman if you think its more predictable so be quite careful with any "system" and keep your unit size low, very low.

It's quite simple , basball is the game of stats, which hold up better than in the other two. In football, EMOTION and injuries (slight or not) play a much larger role.
Yes, I know exactly what you're saying abot pitches with low ERA getting lite up and fielders making errors. Bsketball and Football have point spreads that wipe out any profit and talk about having to lay High lumber on the money lines can cause heart failure, especially in hoops. Matchups (batter vs pitcher are the best stat out there). Just takes a ton of time to do the math and lineup changes do come in to play.)

Heck, I'm sure you can play for $10 in Vegas and maybe less without having to go to the downtown rubbies spots.
