I dont see there is anyway he doesnt take the washington job. He will get to build this program from the bottom. Plus he wont have to battle tx and okla for recruits every year.

the man's a genius, i really don't care if he hasn't played a down of organized football in his life, he knows what he's doing. Any program would be better off with him at the helm. I really think he can do better than the Washington job. Notre Dame should've looked at him to bring the spread to South Bend.

He's not going anywhere because TT is going to give him a new contract with more money.

Leach knows how no one (or noone) on the west coast gets any respect outside of USC....

I bet he would go to UCLA or Notre Dame. But who knows. Somewhere that they have pirates.

He'd eventually become another Dirk Koetter and end up losing to the better teams most of the time. Very similar styles of recruiting and emphasis.

Leach would fit in very well with the Pac-10 brand of football. The thing you have to remember is even though Washington may look more like a lateral move by Leach instead of a move up, I believe his chances of making it to a BCS bowl from a conference like the Pac-10 is better than where he's at now. This year is a good example. Texas Tech went 11-1 in the Big 12 and still won't sniff a BCS bowl. I would think his chances are greater if he went 11-1 in the Pac-10.

I heard he had interviewed at Auburn. These are crazy times in the SEC.

I can't see him fitting in very well in the SEC. Outside Florida they don't particulary embrace the wide-open style of football he loves. A job at a major Pac-10 school (and Washington could reclaim that "major" title with a little bit of winning) could be ideal for him. There are so many excellent high school quarterbacks in California alone who would love to go to a program where they could throw 50 passes in a game.

Taking a recruiting backseat to only USC would probably be a nice break, after years of taking a recruiting backseat to Texas, Oklahoma and sometimes two or three other schools.

He wanted to come to UCLA last year but the pussy UCLA admin decided to hire from within once again.
Leach could've been a beast at UCLA, he has the personality to go up against Carroll and the offense as well. PLus imagine his scheme with Los Angeles area recruits, he'd be a beast.
Sigh, what could've been

Leach would tear Bozo the Carroll a new asshole if he had even close to equal talent.

UCLA dropped the ball bigtime by not getting Leach as Leach wanted the job.
I think Neuheisal will do good, but he doesn't have that edge that a guy like Leach or Carroll has. HE used to have that edge when he was at CU and UW, but I think getting fucked by the nCAA caused him to change his ways.

i have my doubts with anyone taking over at washington and competing with usc immediately

You didn't read the fine print. My point is from a strategic standpoint (offense vs defense) Leach is light years ahead of Bozo. Exactly how would Bozo do at a school with a bare cupboard. Would he be drumming up publicity to wear home uniforms for a road game even if it cost him 2 timeouts? Would he have Will Ferrell running around pulling assinine pranks? Don't be fooled by a head coach's record. As Bill Parcells says, teams are what their record says they are. For coaches, it's a different story.

I kind of like the way you make your point without ever saying anything. You should consider a career in government with your uncanny talent to be so opinionated and duplicitous at the same time.

i read the fine print, it was shit. leach likes pirates and struggles to put a sentence together. so you call carroll bozo because he has an 86-15 record?

NFL style offense>>>>>>>>>>>gimmick run n' gun offense

Has Leach ever heard of the word defense? If this year is the best defense he's ever had than he gets a big LOL for that.

As far as Leach going to UW, that isn't happening. You don't think Auburn had Leach in mind when they just canned TT?

Anyone give you your daily reminder that you are an idiot?

Something else about Leach if you don't know by now. He marches to the beat of a different drummer. And he doesn't kiss the asses of the alumni or the administation. This is unacceptable at alot of schools who like their coaches to mingle with the big wigs and raise money for the university. I guarantee you Leach won't do this. And most bigtime BCS schools won't hire him for this reason alone. At Texas Tech he can be his own man and considering the things he's accomplished at TT, at this point he can pretty much do what he wants in Lubbock. Strange antics and all.. I'm not sure that these kinds of things will play well in a big city like Seattle.
