Pittsburgh -½ +1.34 over CAROLINA (REG) <o></o>
The Pens may take a day off here and there after its Stanley Cup run last year and that’s really the only thing to be weary of here. Player for player, this is a complete mismatch, as the Pens are talented, young, and they’re great while the Canes are none of the aforementioned. The Canes two wins came against Tampa and Florida and it should be noted that the win over Florida was upon the Panthers return from overseas. They were buried in Boston 7-2 and they were buried in the rematch against the Bolts 5-2. Only once in five games have the Hurricanes scored more than two goals and that’s a problem here because the Penguins have scored at least four or more in three straight and they all came on the road. So, yeah, the Penguins are the hunted but this team still appears to be hungry and they really look sharp early on. Play: Pittsburgh -½ +1.34 (Risking 2 units). <o></o>

ANAHEIM -½ +1.06 over Minnesota (REG) <o></o>
The Ducks have been a little erratic early in the season but they’ve played a very tough schedule, they have two solid wins over Boston and Philly and after losing to the Wild in Minnesota eight days ago they should be ready to go here. Anaheim is getting tremendous goaltending from Jonas Hiller while the Wild goaltending has been very shaky indeed. In fact, Niklas Backstrom has a save percentage of just .897 while Hiller’s save percentage is .934. Furthermore, the Wild are without Pierre Marc Bouchard and Cal Clutterbuck, two guys they were relying on for some offense now that Gaborik has found greener pastures in New York. Minnesota has just one win and they’ve also allowed 10 goals in its last two games, both losses in San Jose and L.A, they’ll be playing its third consecutive on the road and it really appears like they’re a team in trouble. Play: Anaheim -½ +1.06 (Risking 2 units).
