LOS ANGELES -½ +1.25 over Edmonton (REG)
The Kings are coming off a 2-0 home loss to the Flames but they dominated play and only allowed 20 shots on net. Kiprusoff was in the zone and he’s the only reason the Kings lost. Not many teams in the league are playing as good as these Kings are right now and even in both of its losses over their last nine games, they were the better team and it wasn’t close. Now they’ll catch a very ordinary Oilers squad that has won just twice in its last six games and one of those wins came against the reeling Habs. The Kings don’t get much exposure or coverage because they play on the West Coast and they’ve been pretty bad for years. I’m suggesting that the oddsmakers or the general public is not aware of just how strong this team is. Its defense takes a backseat to nobody and they have a wealth of youth and talent up front. They could be a very dangerous team if they make the playoffs but now, when the lines are favorable, is the time to bet them. Note the early 4:00 PM start. Play: Los Angeles -½ +1.25 (Risking 2 units).

Dallas +1.57 over CHICAGO (REG)
At this price and in this situation, the Stars are simply a must play here. For one, the Blackhawks will return home from a grueling “eight games in 16 days road trip” that ended last night in St. Louis. This is its ninth game in 17 nights, its third game in four days and the tail end of back-to-backs. It’s near impossible to imagine the Blackhawks not being extremely fatigued here and it’s not like they’re returning home to play some tomato can. The Stars are among the hottest teams in the league right now with eight wins in its last ten games. They’re also are playing its third game in four days and tail end of back-to-backs. However, the difference is that Dallas has been home for four straight games while the Blackhawks have been traveling every game for 17 straight days. Even under very normal and even circumstances this line would still be a bit high. Under this very difficult situation in terms of scheduling, this line is way too high. Of course the Stars can win here. Play: Dallas +1.57 (Risking 2 units).

Like 'em both today Sherwood. BoL.

I also think the Hawks have been getting too much love by the linesmakers and bettors lately. Stars have been hot after starting off like dogsh!t. However, since Avery was booted, the team seems a lot more focused and Marty Turco has been stepping up his game w/a 1.73 GAA over his last 7 games (and he reportedly is getting the start again tonight) and a 1.83 GAA in his last 13 in which he won 9.

Brian: You should post here daily, I really liked your Vancouver pick for Sun/day, not all know of your site, played it hard, read between your lines.

Your insight is valuable :

Brian( Sherwood didn't post his game here today, but :

VANCOUVER -½ +1.02 over Montreal PINNACLE
This is beginning to sound like a broken record but let’s face it, there’s not a team in the NHL that is playing worse than the Habs and it’s not close. In the midst of a five-game losing streak that included a 7-2 loss to Edmonton, a 6-2 loss to Calgary and a 5-2 loss to the Leafs, the Canadiens went into Colorado to face another badly struggling team. The result was a 4-2 Montreal win but once again they were dominated from start to finish, as Colorado out-shot them 48-23. A win lifts spirits somewhat but the fact of the matter is the Habs should have lost 11 of its last 12 games and had no right beating either Colorado or Los Angeles. Now they’ll go into Vancouver to face a Canuck team that has its swagger back and that’s looking the Canuck team we saw at the beginning of the year. So, here’s what you can expect to see; Vancouver dominating and taking the play to the Habs right from the opening face-off and not letting up. The Canucks need wins badly after a horrible stretch and no way do they allow this dumpster-fire club to come in and beat them. Play: Vancouver -½ +1.02 (Risking 3 units).

His stuff doesn't always make it to RX, but it is very real, I read him well too, always can tell when it's strong , and he holds back, but shouldn't.

I read him well, real strong on anything involving any team from Toronto.

Dude ain't no past-poster tout.

Sherwood (Brian) has some problems betting , IMO ! Sometimes you can take +1.5, Brian !

I knew this was a likely 70% winner, I can tell what's strong with Sherwood.
