i've said it before and will say it again. laying more than about 5 w/pacific is asking for trouble. they don't play the style of ball that leads to blowouts all that often. riverside is crap - but knowing uop like i do and the style they play - put me on ucr here - or no one.action said:

and if you followed this game - you know at no point in time was pacific ever a threat to cover this line.
as i said - the style of ball pacific plays tends to keep the dog in the game at all times - even when they are the dog. they just don't play a style of ball that is conducive to laying a large number.
and one more thing - the big worst (west) is a conference that is somewhat equal in (lack of) talent - especially after utah state and pacific. if you did nothing but play the dog in all big west games odds are pretty good you'd be UP come season's end. the ref's in this conference are among the worst in all of college and this also helps keep the games close.
