Really good Monday for Top plays hitting 5 of 6. Things may be a bit scattered today, spent most of evening at Hospital with wife, and hoping we dont have to go back later. Anyway, here's a few of the plays for today, will have more later. Just rememeber we are in the middle of "SILLY SEASON." As a former college athlete, I can attest, this is an odd period, between final exams, xmas break and beginning of Conference play in January, some teams are just not motivated, and scheduling throws these kids off. Wild upsets happen and teams with terrible records keeping it close against much better teams.

Two more I've been staring at ALL morning, that the spreads are just 2 high. Both top plays. NDSU is an avg team who plays much worse on road but that is partly due to being out in middle of BFE and traveling long distances between EACH game. Tonight however, they take on a weakene Saluki SIU team at SIU's arena. BETTER YET, NDSU didn't travel far. WHY? They played Illinois state Sunday. They stayed in Illinois and took a short bus ride. These road trips are GREAT BONDING experiences for college kids (I know, I was one of them on a team long ago). SIU just lost to Austin Peay and Wichita State and rarely blows out Divsion 1 teams at home. I've been following SIU for over 20 years now off and on as my former college buddy and still close friend John Pruett was SIU's top scorer in late 90's and FT% as a 6'6 SF before transferring to play at UNC on the JV team to play for Coach Bill Gutthridge. 9 points is just too much in this game.
Western Kentucky should not be 6 points dog in an EVEN game against a suspect Lancer team from the baptist thumpers of Cali that are crappy at covering anything over 1-2 points. I cant find any news on any top guys out for WKY, this is too many points with a mostly even matchup.

Got so busy with writeups forgot 2 more, not top plays, but do like these a lot. WCU from Cullowhee NC playing my old college hero Coach Stackhouse (UNC) and camp counselor 2 years Vanderbilt squad. WCU has the shooters and big men to keep this close if not win. Also Shaka's Marq team is just too big and deep for Providence Friars.

Small world. I bet they know or knew each other. He’s Dean of the school of public health.

Interestingly MY great grandfather who passed when I was 14 and he was 106 (long life) was President of Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington DE for over 50 years and merged Goldey and beacom together ..The library and biz school is named after him. Cool to see my middle name (moms maiden name) up there as it’s uncommon name .

Ive looked at that game and matchup a few times today. Montana about gave me a heart attack last game against a week SJSU team. From my view, Montana just beat this team in a convicing win recently, Tough to do it twice in same year, let alone within same month and on their floor. Expect UC Davis to be motivated which is also a concern for montana, this time of year esp after winning last few and against this same team, the more motivated team should be Davis, so i expect it to be tight, and the line indicates that. Montana should prob be favored here given recency and matchups. Nothing big on this game but I am playing Montana, hoping they can "run-it back."
