A rested Portland with something to play for (Undef at Home, defend the Home) faces an Orlando team on a backtoback.

Orlando's SOS near the bottom and have not beaten a top 5 power rated team.

Portland winning their home games as the favorite by 20.

Portland league best 3 point shooting team vs the league's worst freethrowers. All adds up to a Portland cover.

ORL has only played one top 5 power rated team in BOS and ORL is ranked #5 currently so only 4 teams are ahead of them and 2 are west coast. 20 games in doesnt give you a whole lot of chance to play those teams.

POR has been spanking people at home lately though.

2 diff power ratings I was looking at, had Portland rated at #5 and #4. Both had Port rated ahead of Orlando. Orlando is 0-2 with one of the losses being to Portland.

I give Portland's situation more weight, (Defending home court vs a backtobacker) than I do the numbers. SOS numbers tell me Orlando is an early pretender and helped me to pull the trigger.

Appreciate the feedback.

you looking at the two on espn? i was looking at covers which has por as #7.
i dont know how u think a team thats 16-5 and went to the 2nd round of playoffs last year a pretender.
we will agree to disagree on this game sir, gl.

No I was looking elsewhere.

A pretender in terms of Tuesday 12/9. Meaning, the 5 points Portland is giving versus an Orlando team that is 2-1 as a Rd Dog is cheap. Orlando is losing by 5 on average as a RD dog versus Boston, Dallas and Philly. Portland is blowing people out at home by 20. Just another game in the marathon. Portland best offensive rebounding team in the league.

I'd stay away from this game. Orlando is a wierd team on the road. They have played well in back-to-backs this year. Be cautious on this game.

Orlando's J Nelson and R. Lewis go 10 for 15 from 3point range and Portland loses their first home game.
