Smooth how you doing? I'm new to the horses and would like to learn from you guys what it takes to win. But I have to learn how to read horse talk. Can you or somebody tell me how to read your thread? Like what to you mean by "Full Card Philly" or "Philly Power Figures"? Appreciate
Best of luck to you. There are some references on the DRF site regarding how to read and interpret the racing form, which may give you a general understanding of some terms if you have minimial knowledge about horse racing.
When I post a full card, I generally list 4 horses in order of preference based on what I think the likely outcome will be. I do not play every race, I generally only play my spot plays (Top, secondary, and longshots). I do the full card more or less to keep myself interested since I will look at 40-50 races a day to come up with a handful of plays. I generate figures on selected races (speed, raw speed, pace, and power), and when some of my angles agree with my figures, it can warrant a play or possibly make me think twice about a play.
Good luck in your quest to learn about racing, remember to keep good records (so you can see what types of races work for you AND what type of wagers work for you) and have betting discipline.
Let us know if you have any questions, I am sure that everyone here would be more than glad to help you out!
