Key Stat: Dortmund’s 13 home league games have featured 46 goals

Expert Verdict: Both teams to score is shorter than you would normally expect but rightly so given Borussia Dortmund are vulnerable defensively against the kind of quality which Schalke possess. The visitors scored in both matches against Real Madrid and away to Bayern Munich recently and can also notch against their fiercest rivals.

Recommendation: Both teams to score

Key Stat: Everton have lost just one of their 21 league games against teams below them in the table

Expert Verdict: Everton have lost just one of their 21 league games against teams below them in the table Newcastle needed a late goal to see off struggling Crystal Palace on Saturday and they face a far tougher task against Everton this week. The Toffees look a more threatening proposition with Romelu Lukaku back fit and they can continue their ruthless form against teams below them in the league.

Recommendation: Everton

Key Stat: Manchester United have lost five league games at home this season

Expert Verdict: Old Trafford has lost its fear factor and that can only help City take this Manchester derby. Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton, Newcastle and West Brom have all won at United this season and even without the injured Sergio Aguero the visitors have the firepower to stay in touch at the top.

Recommendation: Man City

Key Stat: Swansea have taken one point from 12 matches against the top eight

Expert Verdict: Arsenal have refused to crumble after their other heavy defeats this season - the Gunners have not lost successive Premier League matches this season - and Arsene Wenger can get an immediate response from his side. Swansea are in a desperate relegation fight and have lost nearly all of their big matches this campaign.

Recommendation: Arsenal-Arsenal double result

Key Stat: Aberdeen have won eight of their last 11 matches

Expert Verdict: The Dons are in with a great shout of claiming second spot in the Scottish Premiership but this could be a tough trip to Dingwall. While Aberdeen have scored in all but one of their last 11 league games, Ross have netted in 11 of their last 12 so it makes sense to back both teams to score.

Recommendation: Both teams to score

Detroit Red Wings vs. Columbus Blue Jackets
Total
5½ un-125
at 5DIMES
> 3h.
1 Star Bonus Play on Columbus/Detroit Under 5.5 goals.

We have to lay a little extra juice to play at Under 5.5 but I feel that the price is justified.

These teams are battling each other for a spot in the postseason. As a result, I expect there to be some "playoff like intensity." That often translates to a low-scoring game.

Both of this season's season's earlier meetings fell below the total. Those games had final scores of 2-1 and 4-1.

Going back further finds that the last five meetings in this series have all stayed below the total, each producing five or fewer combined goals.

Speaking of five straight "unders," that's exactly what Columbus has done of late. Each of the Jackets' last five games - and seven of their last eight - has produced five or fewer goals. They lost 2-0 last time out and their last five games have averaged just 3.6 goals.

Note that the "under is 11-4 when the Jackets scored one goal or less in their previous game and 12-7 when they were off a loss by two or more goals.

While the Wings lost 4-3 last time out, they've still seen the "under" go 5-2-1 their last eight games. It should also be noted that the "under" is a lucrative 16-6-4 when Detroit allowed four or more goals in its previous game.

Going back a bit further finds the "under" at 30-13-9 the past few seasons, when the Wings were in that situation. That includes a 4-0-1 record this March, those games finishing with scores of 2-3, 0-3, 2-1, 3-2 and 3-2. Consider the Under 5.5.

WHITE HOT Ben Burns followed up a MASSIVE weekend by delivering a solid 3-2 card on Monday. (You know you're hot when that seems like a bad day!) Burns WON HUGE in 2013 and he's CLEANED UP in every single month so far in 2014. He's already up better than $15K in March and he's now up more than $40K since mid-January. Today, he's going for 11 STRAIGHT WINS with his college hoops sides. Needless to say, he's "in the zone" AGAIN. Sharps don't ask how he does it. They just hop on board and enjoy the ride!

OK City @ Dallas +3

Oklahoma City is a 3 to 1 odds favorite to win the West right now and Dallas is at 100 to 1. Does that tell you something about this matchup tonight? Also the injury reports say Westbrook to make his return tonight for the Thunder, which is not good news for Dallas.

Another issue not good news for Dallas is that OK City is playing with some serious revenge after Dallas came into their house and kicked their ass out of the stadium in their last meeting and won by a lopsided score of 109 to 86 two Sundays ago. OK City has ripped off 4 straight wins since that defeat and I expect them to expose Dallas’s defense tonight who are giving up 102 ppg their last 5, and while the Mavs offense numbers look good their last 5 games, that number is skewed because there have been 2 high scoring OT games mixed in there. I like the revenge factor and the better team getting even tonight laying a manageable number

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Orlando Magic
Total
207 un-110
at BODOG
> 2h.

03/25 04:05 PM NBA (653) PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS VS (654) ORLANDO MAGIC
Take: UNDER THE TOTAL.
Reason: Your free pick for Tuesday, March 25th, 2014, comes in the NBA as Portland and the Magic meet in Orlando, Florida. Portland is an uptempo offensive team, while Orlando likes a slower pace, 24th in the NBA in scoring. So who controls the pace? Portland is on a long road trip and in a tough situational spot, the second of a back to back road spot after playing at Miami last night. They also have been without their best offensive player. LaMarcus Aldridge didn't play last night with a back contusion, missing his sixth consecutive game with the lingering ailment. Aldridge leads the Blazers in scoring (23.4 points per game), rebounding (11.1) and minutes played (36.5). The under is 4-1 in the Blazers last 5 games vs. a team with a winning percentage below .400. Portland shot just 40% in their loss at Charlotte. Orlando is a weak offensive team and on a 4-0 run under the total, plus the under is 4-0 in the Magic's last four vs. the Western Conference. Orlando comes off a game against the defenseless Lakers...and they scored just 94 points. Play the Blazers/Magic under the total.

Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
Toronto Raptors

at BODOG

This is a 1* Bonus Play on the Toronto Raptors.

The Raps have dominated the Cavaliers of late and I expect that to continue here as the team is on a mission to grab that third spot in the Eastern Conference. Toronto avoided a letdown after an excruciating one point loss to the Thunder by coming from behind to beat the Atlanta Hawks 96-86 at home its last game. Kyle Lowry scored 25 points in the win and continues to be the catalyst for this underrated squad that plays hard every game under head coach Dwayne Casey. I do give a lot of props to the Cavaliers for their win over the hot Knicks at MSG their last game out. It took quite an effort from backup point guard in Jarrett Jack who scored 31 points and added 10 assists and five rebounds for the Cavs to get the win. Jack is filling in for injured star Kyrie Irving. I don’t like Cleveland’s chances of scoring a lot of wins without Irving in the long run and certainly not against a good defensive team like the Raptors. Toronto still hasn’t quite got the amount of respect from odds makers I think it deserves so I think we should continue to take advantage of it here. Toronto is 4-1 SU and ATS versus the Cavaliers in games held in Cleveland. The Raptors are 7-3 SU against the Cavs in the last 10 meetings overall. As a road favorite of 3.5-6 points, Toronto has been a profitable 5-2 ATS. Lay the short points here with Toronto.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Orlando Magic
Orlando Magic

Jack's Free Pick Tuesday: Orlando Magic +6

This is a very tough spot for the Portland Trail Blazers tonight. They will be playing the second of a back-to-back and their 3rd game in 4 days off a crushing 91-93 loss at Miami last night. I look for them to suffer a hangover from that defeat and to fail to cover this 6-point spread because of it.

Making matters worse for the Blazers is the fact that their best player is listed as doubtful to play tonight. Forward LaMarcus Aldridge (23.4 ppg, 11.1 rpg) is having a career year, and it's no wonder that the team has struggled without him. Aldridge has missed the past six games, and the Blazers are 3-7 in their last 10 games overall.

Orlando comes in motivated to put an end to a 9-game losing streak overall. Some would say that this team has quit, but I'm not buying it. The Magic have lost by single-digits five times during this losing streak, so they have been very competitive. Plus, six of the nine losses came on the road during an extremely difficult stretch.

Portland is 7-21 ATS off two straight games with 10 or less offensive rebounds over the past three seasons. The Magic are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 home games. Orlando is 9-4 ATS in its last 13 vs. NBA Northwest Division opponents. The Blazers are 1-5 ATS in their last six games following an ATS win. The underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in this series. Bet the Magic Tuesday.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Dallas Mavericks
Oklahoma City Thunder
-3-110
at 5DIMES
> 3h.
Tuesday's Free NBA Pick ---Oklahoma City Thunder -3---

The Thunder knocked off the Denver Nuggets 117-96 at home for their fourth straight win. Oklahoma City is fighting to take back the top spot in the Western Conference standings, as they trail the San Antonio Spurs by a full 2-games with just 12 games left to play.

Anytime you only have to lay 3-points on the Thunder it's worth a look. It's even more the case when they are playing with some serious revenge. The Mavericks 23-point win Oklahoma City earlier this month, was their worst loss in over three years and to make matters worse it came on their home floor. You have to believe the Thunder will be all business and out to return the favor in front of a nationally televised audience.

Something to keep in mind is Russell Westbrook didn't play in that ugly home loss. The All-Star point guard didn't play last night either, but is expected to suit up against the Mavericks. Westbrook had 22 points on 10 of 20 shooting in the Thunder's 15-point home win over Dallas back in November.

It's also worth mentioning that Oklahoma City has owned this series over recent years. Prior to that loss, the Thunder had won seven straight over the Mavericks. Oklahoma City is 5-1 SU in their last 6 meetings in Dallas and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games played at American Airlines Center.

Road teams who are an excellent offensive team (>=102 PPG) against a horrible defensive team (>=102 PPG) after 42+ games and after scoring 100 points or more 2 straight games are 105-59 (64%) ATS since 1996.

Ottawa Senators vs. Florida Panthers
Florida Panthers
-120
at SPBOOK
> 3h.
It is rare to see Florida favored but that is the case tonight and for good reason. While the Panthers haven't exactly been lighting things up as they are 4-8 over their last 12 games, five of those losses have come on the road including each of their last three. On the season they are 13-20 but you have to go all the way back to December 3rd to find a home loss to a team that is currently not still in the mix for a playoff spot and that happened to come against this same Ottawa team. Since then, they have 10 home losses and all have come against teams with 76 points or higher. Over that same stretch, Florida is 4-0 against non-playoff contenders. Ottawa is struggling just as bad as it is 1-6 over its last seven games although it is coming off a win last night, a shootout victory at Tampa Bay. The Senators are 3-7 in their last 10 games following a win and they have not won back-to-back road games since early January. They are nine points out of the Wild Card spots in the Eastern Conference and while that may not seem like much, with six teams in front of them, it is close to impossible. Additionally, the Senators are 2-10 in their last 12 games playing on zero days rest while Florida is 7-2 in its nine home games this season following three or more consecutive losses. Play (60) Florida Panthers

Free Pick on Dallas Mavericks +

This matchup fits into a very profitable system to play against Oklahoma City. You should fade teams like the Thunder when they are trying to revenge a home loss of 10 points or more, and they are coming off a cover as a double-digit favorite. This system identifies teams the oddsmakers have overvalued. It has resulted in a 41-16 (72%) record against the spread.

The last time these teams met Dallas picked up a 109-86 victory in Oklahoma City. This time they have the luxury of playing host to the Thunder. The Mavericks have an impressive 23-12 record at home, and the team averages 107.1 points per game in those contests. That gives Dallas a big advantage against the Thunder's soft defense. Oklahoma City may be known for putting a lot of points on the board, but even the Thunder cannot match the Mavericks offensive production numbers when they are playing at home.

Belmont vs. Clemson
Clemson
-7-110
at BETONLINE
> 2h.
We're recommending a play on Clemson minus the points on Tuesday night. The Tigers haven't been a popular choice in early betting, but we believe this is too tough of a matchup for the Bruins. Belmont loves to bomb away from the 3-point line, but they're running into a fierce Clemson defensive scheme. The Tigers are 4th in the nation, allowing just 57.9 ppg on 39.3% shooting (14th) and they own the stingiest deep perimeter defense in the nation, holding their opponents to 27.9% shooting from beyond the arc. They're even better on their home floor. Belmont likes to get the ball up the floor, but they don't play much defense, allowing teams to "can" over 45% of their shots, while allowing "hosts" to make almost 48% of their shots. Clemson's slower schemes should throw a wrench into Belmont's system and eventually I expect Clemson to pull away by margin. The Tigers are making the most of their home court advantage, already beating Georgia State and Illinois. And we should note that home teams from major conferences are on a 40-14 ATS run against teams from mid-major conferences, provided the home team is off at least two straight home wins and laying 3 1/2 to 9 1/2 points. While I'm not a big "angles" capper and don't base my plays on them, a 40-14 mark does say something about the situation these teams are in tonight. We're recommending a play on Clemson on Tuesday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

Scott Spreitzer rocks the books with his Tues Night NBA KNOCKOUT! Scott dropped his total last night, but easily won his NIT KO with Cal. Now grab the pro hardwood Knockout winner, backed by solid red-hot spots. Scott looks to extend his overall winning run to 74-47 and his NBA run to 28-16!

Toronto Raptors -4

It is too late for the Cavs but the Raptors have a lot to play for right now. They are just a game and half ahead of Brooklyn and desperate want to keep their place at the top of the Atlantic.

This is a very good road team with an awesome 23-11 ATS away from the ACC. They have beaten the Cavs twice this season and got the sting from their OT loss to OKC over with by beating the Hawks over the weekend.

As long as the number stays below 5 they are the sharp play. Good Luck, Razor Ray.
